  1. Same has been said with Adam's polishes. People do complain that it doesn't work perfect sometimes.... and we know it's usually user error. I was baffled why I was dusting the polish so much last year... I was disappointed. Come to find out I was using TOO much product and I was doing under the blazing florida heat at noon outside! the 3 year coating crap doesn't make sense to me. I take care of my Corvette meticulously and I noticed there are minor dirt/dust scratches on it after 1.5 years... I want to correct it again. With these coatings that last 2-3 years, I would be taking it off every year anyways. and that's on a weekend car. I can't image for the daily drivers. Again, I revert to my sealant vs wax theory. If someone came to complain that their LSP doesn't gloss like the premier waxes do, we would direct them to americana. It has been established and understood that the LSP will not leave the paint gleamy like the americana, but it lasts a long while which is great for daily drivers and great for winter prep. They both have their purpose. LSP might not be for your '69 camaro with 3000 original miles all numbers matching, but it it should do the trick for your silver tahoe that you drive in winter time in colorado I wish I added a poll to this, but it seems like i'm in the minority. adam's makes great products and can better the best out there. if the current ones do such a good job, adam's might do an even better job. Wouldn't you want something that can correct like paint correcting orange polish, but then leave the LSP behind when you're done? I'll keep tooting my horn here, but in the meantime I'll give one of the outsiders a chance since I can't use adam's for this. I might do a side by side comparison on the CL550 I just got to show you guys the difference between an AIO and a Adam's orange polish with LSP. We'll see how it works, and you guys can be the judge if a product like this could save time on a not so bad condition car.
  2. Well we have several products that cater to others. It's like the Liquid paint sealant and patriot or americana (or even buttery) We have LSP for vehicles that are daily drivers. You apply once every 3-4 months. Not the highest gloss/shine, but still very respectable and saves the hassle of applying a wax once a month. We have buttery that doesn't last long, but it's very easy to put on and very inexpensive. Doesn't last at all. for the budget minded. We have americana that lasts for about a month or two, but has higher gloss compared to LSP. Then we have patriot that doesn't last long at all, but supposedly a great shine. Now if we didn't have LSP and I came here recommending we need a sythetic sealant, it would be a very similar case to this if people came to to this thread saying "it may outlast a wax, but in all honesty, it doesn't shine like americana and sealants aren't proven to last long. Just wax your car twice instead of putting a synthetic sealant on once every 4 months and you'll be fine. It's only a 30 minute process anyways, not that big of a deal to me. We are hardcore users on here and are willing to put the time into putting the best shine on our car. It may be great for a daily driver, but that's it". Sound familiar? What was the LSP made for? daily drivers that sit outside in the elements if I remember right The product may not be for you, but it may be for some. I'm OK with using a polish that will correct daily driven cars that are taken care of. like I said. Just because you don't plan on purchasing patriot wax because you don't need ultra shine and very short protection time, there might be someone out there who might want it for a car that sits in a garage most of the year. He might never need the LSP himself. I think there is a big market here for AIOs. Even from a business point, look at all the reviews and success HD Speed had. I can't even find any on bigger websites including amazon right now. I would say there is profit to be made here. Some of us would really use it. Us forum people are only a fraction of adam's users.
  3. They kind of did that with the jeep. Perhaps not from start to finish literally (wash to LSP) but it shows the correcting and finishing, which is usually the toughest and the most confusing part.
  4. I'd be very upset if adam's takes out lower ranked reviews. However I have seen 3-4 star reviews, so I don't know... That being said, I don't know what video the OP is referring to, but the black jeep video with the flex and all the swirls is a great video. No deception on that one. He even says it came out little hazy with the correcting polish and MF pad, so he goes over it with the white foam and finishing polish.
  5. The picture above is the work of a well established AIO. It didn't take that the person many hours to do that afaik. I'm surprised at the lack of interest for this product. I understand LSP takes about 30 minutes to put on, but why not try to create something that can do what the correcting polish does and include protection with it? None of you would enjoy a product that can do what the correcting polish does but then after you're done with the protection of LSP already on it?
  6. Hey team, I've been an adam's exclusive kind of person. all my detailing products are adam's. I don't have any non adam's stuff in my arsenal (from towels to cleaning products). So I'm primarily on this forum and really know only of adam's products... I ventured out to few other places few days ago and learned about something I didn't even know existed. I always wondered why this didn't actually exist and figured it was due to lack of today's technology... When I clean up a car for the year, I usually do adam's correcting polish followed by putting on the LSP on it. I use orange MF or the foam pads adam's has. it's a 2 step process and I never really minded it. I'm not a fast detailer, so it usually takes me some time. I wished there was some polish or protectant that would protect while I applied it. Well come to find out there are products like this and they are called AIO (not like the Klasse AIO which I think is more of a filler) They have some abrasive properties so they do some correction and leave a sealant which can last couple months. They work well on not so damaged cars, and can clean up to about 90% it seems (depending on hardness of clear coat as usual of course) I borrowed this from another site, but the correction looks acceptable to a daily driver (at least in my opinion) The two notable products I've seen are HD Speed, Griot's one step sealant and McKee's 37 360 AIO . I think developing a product like this would be great. I'm not here to stir anything up. You guys always ask for input, so I'm giving an input. People are very happy with these products and I think they are being used more and more lately. I would love something like this from you guys. It appears this will be the only non adam's product in my line, simply because we don't have it. I'd love some feedback!
  7. Why have a 5 or 6 setting if it doesn't need to be used at that? I might get as well get a Mk 1 and run at 5-6 which would equate to me running a mk2 at 3-4 I guess? lol
  8. Thanks Mike, From what I'm reading though, you have to use the Mk2 on lower power because it's ripping the foams apart at higher settings...
  9. For Mark 1, the price difference between 15 and 21 is really small (10-20 bucks) so it's def not a deal breaker. But are adam's pads big enough to fit them? Maybe that's why they're not selling the 21 here? and I just realized Dylan went to Rupes! (hopefully it's not a sore subject lol) I was wondering why he hasn't been making any videos! lol
  10. Thanks guys. I have some of the older 7 inch pads along with the new smaller 6 and 5.5 pads as they don't make the 7 anymore afaik. I wish I could test one out on the new benz that I just got. The car is a metallic black and has lots of light swirl marks over 6 years of car washing with a brush. I know the flex will do the job, but I'm curious how a rupes would do. I like the flex, but like you guys said, it's a bit violent. no finesse to it lol. I guess for the amount of cars I do a year (only a couple) it's not that big of a deal. if I did 1-2 cars a week, I would probably have all the polishers sold to mankind lol. I have a PC as well (the harbor freight version) that I use a 4" pad with to get the smaller spots like back of trunks etc. Is there that much of a difference between 15 and 21? (2 vs 3 times coverage if I'm right?) also how about Mark 2? From what I read, it's ripping the pads off on higher speeds, so you have to run it at slower speeds (mark 1 speeds) to have your pads last anyways?
  11. Hey guys, I bought a Flex 3401 couple years back because I believed it was the better choice for me over the PC and also the cyclo. I liked the power it had over the other two in case I had to do heavier correcting on paint. Mind you I'm a personal user (I don't detail for $$) and just do my own cars usually which most of them are new cars... Maybe it was overkill, but I'm happy I got the top dog. Well fast forward to now and I know adam's is selling the Rupes bigfoot series (I thought they were selling 15 and 21, but it seems it's only 15). From what I can tell in my research, the rupes is not a heavy cutter like the flex (not forced rotation) but covers almost twice the ground the flex does (8 vs 15 in this case) or triple with the 21. Does this mean you can do a section of a panel twice as fast just because you are covering that much more ground? and did you move from the Flex to rupes bigfoot for this particular reason? if so why? I'd like to know... I'm thinking about selling my flex and getting a rupes, but I'm just not sure if it's worth the hassle of me trying to sell it then adding 100 or more bucks to get a rupes. I don't polish much so none of my stuff gets used often, so perhaps it's not really waste of my time or money. I may polish 2-3 cars a year at most. I honestly use them more for putting on LPS on my cars at about twice a year. I could use a PC for that, but I really don't like that machine. I also don't like the 2 head design of cyclo so I'm not very interested in that (not to mention I'd need all new pads lol) Thanks!
  12. This was an interesting read even though I don't own a Rupes. Surprised this didn't happen with the flex as that is a very powerful tool as well. Is it the large throw Rupes has that does this?
  13. What they need to do is combine rinseless and GG! One step cleaning and protecting!
  14. I was wondering the same thing. I want Patriot for my corvette which sees daylight once a week or less usually... Perfect for patriot. I think it will really pop that torch red too!
  15. I put on BG for when I'm bored and I want to do some therapy... Lately though I've just been using buttery wax instead... I honestly don't think one is better than the other over a very clean car to begin with. They are about to same for application. Maybe BG is easier to take off
  16. Too bad I never bought it to give it a try! Bummer... It's crazy how VOC laws can change enough to put a product out of comission!
  17. I'm contemplating on getting this. I've been using buttery and the LPS on all the cars and I've been pretty happy. I honestly can't how you can get a car better looking. As a matter of fact I was going to make a thread about it lol. I just got that CL550 too and that metallic black would really shine and sparkle nice with the right combo after I polish it.
  18. I do 50/50 regardless of it's strength. Use it very seldom though. After you clay a car, you're removing all the protectants anyways. I don't go through the car with it after polish. I don't see the point.
  19. Was it hard to remove and powdery? If so I would say too much product too.
  20. There is no cure time for the paint sealant (unless you have the old one from 2+ years ago) and it's patriot followed by glaze in case you had it reversed like the post. Just friendly FYI
  21. I did this with my corvette (it was hotter though) the polish flashed very fast I got dust EVERYWHERE. It was pretty bad. Find some shade. lol
  22. I burned off the paint last year on our brand new pathfinder. I'm too embarrassed to post about it LOL. there was a spot by the edge of the door that had a nasty scratch. I used a small orange MF pad and the PC to work it REAL hard. well I messed up with 2 rules.1 Don't push so hard on edges because you'll flash through it, and 2 don't work the same spot for so long even if it's a PC.... It looks like crap and I need it painted it now and clear coat the whole door. so embarrassing lol
