  1. I've been wanting to do this real bad to my front. Want to cover the front bumper and hood along with mirrors. I would want a wrapped edge as well this way you really can't tell. Too bad it would cost over 1000 for it. I'm also very curious how it will look sealed compared to rest of car that won't be xpeled Badhabit, what parts are you getting covered and how much?
  2. I did use quick detail after. I wasn't going to bit I noticed a streak on the hood, so I just lightly misted the panels with QD. I dont think it was neccessary but it got rid of few streaks that would have annoyed me. Maybe 10 pumps for the whole car. It's negligible amount lol. Going to put on buttery or glaze over it tomorrow.l just for therapy
  3. I use GWDT to dry the car off. it gets washed after every use. I use double soft or single soft towels. I have some chemical guys green towels I use as well. my wash mat is pretty new. I think I wanna try that sponge though. the wool like one sorta grabs stuff really easy and doesn't like to let go. I usually look through it after I put it through the bucket and rub.
  4. Just used this on the corvette today. I was going to wash then do a buttery wax... I got ready to wipe the car down and I went "wait a minute, I have the HGG with me, let me use that instead" car came out so shiny and well protected I don't see any reason to use the buttery wax anymore... I'll probably polish once a year followed by the LPS. after that, 3 months I'll put HGG and I'm set!
  5. We'll have to see how good she washing cars with daddy before she can touch the vette's paint LOL
  6. Our 1st baby. born just a few days ago. She had her 1st wash last night. I told my wife I should use the car shampoo and the quick detailer so she is spotless clean and smells great. My wife said no. I don't get it. I thought making this meme would be fitting since I was doing it wrong Say hello to Selin everyone! and I hope you enjoy the picture. I thought it was hilarious and so did my wife when I told her I was going to take this picture LOL ps. no I wasn't going to use any Adam's products on her LOL
  7. C4 is like polishing a boat. that thing has a hard clear coat. I would think about how much is your time worth. what takes 2-4 passes with a porter cable might be 1-2 with a flex. I would also get MF pads and orange polish. get a 4 inch backer plate for your porter cable to do all the small spots. It will probably take you some serious time to do this project. I would probably do 1 large or 2 small panels a day and concentrate very hard on an area utilizing the smaller 4 inch pads. Probably going to need 2 pads per section.
  8. I have the HGG, I used it on the other cars. yeah, LPS does last for a while, that's why I was saying something for gloss and shine. Not protection. Car already has that
  9. I've been spending too much time cleaning and detailing my car lately. My neighbors are even saying it. "didn't you just clean this car?" LOL I just cleaned the heck out of the interior. That did it for now. Shampooed the carpets too
  10. So I just cleaned the corvette and she's shining like there is no tomorrow. I don't think you can add any more shine and gloss to this thing. It has Liquid Paint Sealant from when I got the car (1st week of march) and buttery wax from maybe like 2nd or 3rd week of march. Car is mostly garaged too. It still beads water really nice. Now I want to do a little bit of a therapy session, so I want an opinion from you guys... for a garage/weekend driver, is 1 month little too much for buttery wax? (car saw the roads maybe 10 times and gets waterless or rinseless usually after every drive) I know brilliant glaze is pretty much about a week then it wears it's shine off. I guess what I'm curious about it is, with so much protection on the car (mainly LPS from just 2 months ago and Buttery from like a month ago) is it worth putting on buttery wax again? I know BG has no protection, but I think this car has plenty of that to begin with... so comparing shine/gloss between buttery wax and brilliant glaze, which would you want to put on your car that already has good protection for a therapy session? Honestly, I don't think putting either is going to make the car any glossier lmao
  11. It's just my OCDness I suppose... I don't care about it as much on the daily drivers. they're also white and don't show anything lol
  12. Maybe in the next 5 years with improvements in the technology, waxes will be a novelty thing.
  13. So when I got my Corvette, the car was virtually perfect. There was really nothing I can notice on the car as far any scratches or swirls. Once I used the white foam pads and the polish, there really wasn't anything on the car that I could see. Fast forward 6 weeks which included at least one 2 bucket wash, 1 rinseless wash and several waterless washes (usually after anytime I drive the car) I started seeing some minor scratches on the car. I mean they are very minor which I can probably sport remove, but they're there. I've been very meticulous and careful when I clean this car. I clean it often too so it never gets too dirty to build up any dirt. I clean the washpad very well, use the grit guard, don't mix up tire and and body sponges etc. When I do waterless wash, I make sure I never use an area of the towel that I already used. rinseless wash I use 1 towel per panel as well. Is it the inevitable? Just wanted to hear other's opinions. I feel like I introduced most of them from when I did the 2 bucket wash, but I'm not 100%. I mean the car isn't bad. if it was 99% before, it's now 97%. so it's not like it's going downhill. Just sucks trying to keep it so clean and I see very shallow and short scratches on the clear.
  14. nice write up! I didn't order the sponge and now I slightly regret it. Oh well. The wash pad is working for me for now. Maybe I'll order it one of the future orders. so using the HGG, there is no need to use a great white to dry the car? I suppose once the car is wet and you use a damp towel to apply the HGG, you will need several single soft (or double soft) to buff the car dry? ( I suppose the dry towels keep getting as you use them) I should have put this in the FAQ section, but I figured I ask you since you used it. I ordered mine yesterday and I'll probably have it next week. I'm kind of excited to use it on our daily drivers lol.
  15. I see. Curious to see how it works when I get it in the mail.
  16. So if this is used, it pretty much negates the use of the great white since the drying towel will do that. one single soft probably isn't enough as a dry towel then? Can we use the great white as a drying towel, or should we use the MF towels instead
  17. Just ordered it along with the 2 single soft towels. Will start using this on the DDs since I wash those more often using 2 bucket system. They can use something to elongate the LPS's durability
  18. OK, I see what you mean. Thanks. I actually use multiple towels (1 tower per panel) for rinseless so in reality I could use the same towel to apply the HGG then dry to a shine. I put away that towel when I'm done and move on to the next panel with a fresh and damp towel anyways.
  19. would be nice if this could be used with rinseless or waterless. I guess that's not possible since with waterless wash you don't buff the water off, but instead wipe it off. same for rinseless. what if I spray the panel with this, then use the wet rinseless towel to wipe off? I guess that won't work lol
  20. Going to have the wife look at these too... Nice cars for sure. we really liked them when we test drove
  21. Agreed. I tried to get my wife to buy one, but she really wants 3 rows. I'd have no problems paying 40K for a 2010 S550 with 35K miles... I would afraid of maintenance and mechanical costs on it though. We got a Q50 Hybrid which was 47,200. 360 hp v6 that can do 0-60 in 4.9... It also gets over 30 mpg on the highway (we get between 30-36)
  22. meh, I'll just do it tomorrow. I have to go to work in an hour anyways. Just didn't wanna procrastinate lol
