  1. This is a great product. I love it! I just wish it would go on clear so I can mist a panel and go straight to wiping it dry.
  2. I see myself doing this for the daily drivers which are mostly leases for us. I wouldn't do this for the corvette. that's my therapy car. lol.. glad they finally came out with it though! Now I'm waiting for the AIO (which they said they won't make, but I think they will lol) and a spray on wax that I can just wipe the car down as I rinse! (slightly simpler process than h2o) Curious to see the video!
  3. I did this to my wife's brand new (back then) '15 Pathfinder. There was a small spot on the door edge and I went to town with it and couldn't remove the scratch. Next thing I know, I'm seeing gray primer! I was so mad.... We had to car for maybe a week. It's still there and entire door needs to be repainted. It's a lease so I have to take care of it soon. Sucky sucky,,,
  4. I understand why some people are upset and I agree with them. The moral of Adam's was it didn't bring in products from places like mexico and china because of quality of products, how they were built etc. I appreciated that and didn't think much of it, but it impacted me enough that I still remember that video. In the end, I don't care where the product comes from and I make my own decision on what I buy and where it's made. I have plenty of made in china stuff at my house and some of them are horrible, and some of them work real well. My drill and impact driver is a Milwaukee M18 Fuel. I've gotten many compliments on it and they truly are a workhorse. IIRC it's made in China. My buffer is a Flex and is made in germany. My cars are american, european and japan... Chinese even make decent firearms (Norinco) Don't diss it because it's made in China; However I don't see myself buying this. I'd rather spend the little extra money and get the Rupes 19mm Mk 1. It is what it is gents, after all Adam's is a business and their job is to make money. This will make them money. Look at the new polish. They raved about 2 step polishing will do most work ad they were happy to get the swirl remover. Look what's back... It was a product needed and it made a comeback. It will make customers happy and make them money! Good for you Adam's. I just hope you stand behind your product as you always have had in the past.

    Garage flooring

That's what I did. After purchasing our 1st home, it was little too much money for the racedeck flooring. I did epoxy and it came out OK (I didn't get good coverage on few spots and same with the gloss finish) but over all very good. Anyone who comes to my house (the men mainly lol) envy my garage. I put 2 LED strips and it's nice and bright too. I even got a portable AC (500 sq feet) but need insulation for it.
  6. What's taped? I can't even tell. is it the table top (the brushed steel look) looks great! I kinda wanna wrap the wood grain finish in the benz with something like this. I'm not a fan of wood grain at all. Kinda shame because the CL series have matched real wood which is actually very nice... Just not my thing.
  7. Yeah I noticed how the H2O GG was still on the volt that I applied it to little over month ago. I need to reapply. That being said it's a great product. The only downfall is, if you're washing the car in this florida heat during summer, unless you do it very late at sunset (then you're fighting the flying insects), the panels dry very fast and you are working on a dry panel so you have to wet it. I wish they came out with a 2.0 that could be applied to a dry panel with a wet applicator.

    Velocity Channel

I don't mind the channel. When I just want to put something on TV, it's what I usually put on... but I don't really watch it either. I just don't like a quiet family room. LOL
  9. Worked on the CL550 all weekend. I wish my tire and rubber cleaner spray had gotten here, because the tires had some discoloring that I couldn't remove I never worked on a car that needed claybar this bad (and couldn't tell). I have the nanoskin stuff and the fine grade could not cut it. I then tried my adam's (not the imprint one as I have an older one) claybar and thing was turning black. I finally grabbed the medium nanoskin and still had trouble. You could never tell it was this bad! I don't think this car was claybared once since it was delivered to the first owner (i'm the second). I then got to work and tried an AIO and it did not even touch the swirl marks the car had (ok, maybe it touched it, but nowhere near to my satisfaction). so off I went with some compound and brought the paint back to an acceptable level (took forever). At the end, I used my new go to favorite americana wax on the car and trimmed the only black plastic piece in the back with VRT. I used VRT on the engine bay as well along with in and out spray. The engine cover looks a little spotty, so when my tire and rubber cleaner comes in, I might spray and brush that engine cover and re-apply. Well here are the results. I'm pretty satisfied. It took me fri-sat-sun to do, but I wasn't in a big rush and I took breaks after every panel. and It was still PITA. working on a car when the garage is 90 degrees and the outside air is nearing 100 is NOT fun. I don't like doing this stuff during the summer. I need to reserve me polishing to winter time LOL. Sorry, not sure why some pics are sideways Here are some before of the swirl marks. and today's
  10. I certainly wouldn't mind having one of these instead of my volt as one of my daily drivers!
  11. I just think after doing the hood, roof alone the pad stops to slow my process.
  12. I think having 1 or 2 pads is straight up crazy. It comes to a point where the pad no longer will do any correction work because it's saturated with product inside the pores. I would say at least 6 pads. 1 for hood, 1 for trunk/roof, 2 for each side of car. I know pads aren't cheap, but having 1 pad is just crazy. even 2...
  13. Interesting article! I wouldn't have thought the poorest town in Florida was near miami. lol
  14. Did my yearly polish on the C7 to clean up the paint then put on a coat of Americana on it. Was the first time using it. I have to say the product goes on and off SOOOO easy. By far the easiest wax to remove (I waxed one panel, let that sit, did another panel and cleaned up the 1st panel) The shine/reflection is good. The car's paint is in such good condition, anything I put on this car looks good, but I trust in my friends on the forum that the shine on Americana is one of the best. I would try patriot wax, but I just don't see how I can get this car looking any better lol... That being said, this is a great wax that really goes on and off easy! I think it would make darker metallic colors really pop. I just took these when I got to work so they're not the best, but I've been busy lately and haven't had any pleasure rides in the vette lately. I took it to work today because she's been sitting in the garage for a month now lol. Enjoy the pics!
  15. I have a phantom 3 advanced and I'm very good with it. I've flown few other drones before and I'm pretty confident in using it. I've done some pretty cool missions. I did do a car show and it was fun. I did not stay on top of vehicles though. I made sure under me was safe. Again, anything can go wrong, but I'm a good flyer with a well tested drone. can I lose an engine during midflight? sure... but my track record has been good. Plus I had people begging me to take pictures of their cars. I sent this to the owners of the car via email, so I just got it from there. They're lots of fun. I've gone 1.5 miles with mine in Chattanooga when we went on our family trip. I also used it to take some shots of our police marine unit and some of our police cars here too.
  16. What dilution are you guys using? Is 5 gallons really necessary to do a car? lol... I was thinking maybe lowering the water to about half that (around 2-3 gallons) but using the same amount of rinseless wash. Is that a bad idea? Should I halve everything? (1 oz and 2 gallons of water) or should I just stick with 5 gallons of water and 2 oz of product.
  17. Great explanation. Thanks! Perhaps I need to look for a Mk II 15 and just add it to my arsenal. I'll give it some thought. Doing so few cars every year, it's a big investment. Thanks!
  18. Will do! I'll send you the only 5.5 I have if you want it lol
  19. Thanks Dan. Many of us still have and use the flex, so I think offering it would be great. if you do have any 6.5 mf pads, I would be willing to send this unused 5.5 back and get a 6.5 for it instead lol.
  20. lol, I thought about it but decided to keep the flex because forced rotation is something unique and deserves it's own place. It's like a dual clutch vs a manual. Both have their places
  21. I bought this light that I'll link below a while back for 3 bucks each. It's not a very bright light, but does have an adjustable lens. if the conditions are correct, it works fairly well. condition correct would be in a dark area (like a garage with minimal lighting) it will not work when you're outside (even if cloudy). I use it in the garage so it works for me. that being said, if it doesn't work, put it in your car or something .It's a great cheap flashlight lol. I'll try to take a picture and show you guys. https://www.amazon.com/AMASKY-Flashlight-Adjustable-Skid-proof-splashproof/dp/B01CZRB428/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1465795717&sr=8-14&keywords=led+light+adjustable
  22. Hey gang, I have some gen 4 MF pads and wanted to add a couple more to it. I got 1 more gen 6 MF pad to add to my arsenal, and what I assumed was right. the pad is too small. There is a small section on the backing plate that is not covered by the pad. I got a foam pad, and that seems to fit one. it's jus the MF one. any suggestions? I have 4 gen 4 MF pads, and 1 gen 6 MF pad. Lake Country sells a 4 inch flex bp, but then my older pads will be too big... I wish adam's didn't stop supporting the flex Thanks!
  23. AIO was made in mind for "professional" detailers in that most people that want to get their cars "looking shiny" don't even understand the concept of correcting paint and what 80% or 100% correction means. So it's hard to offer someone a 100% correction job and charge properly for it. They will be happy with the 80-90% correction. You will save time with the one step approach. It seems that's why people aren't interested in it here.
