  1. Gee, I forgot how much I hate pollen. I also thought of something else that drives me crazy...when people don't clean their polished exhaust. The exhaust tips that are polished or chrome really look sharp when clean, and just really make a car look terrible when they are neglected...hate that! And the Americana container..LOL
  2. I haven't done it but it's a great idea...my thoughts are the same of yours I am always scared to death of the damage those washes will do, so I just can't bring myself to let them touch my car.
  3. I really know that this is true, when I received my first order and had some concerns Adam contacted me to resolve my concerns. It was from that I ended up helping Adam at Carlisle and becoming a loyal Adam's Polishes fan, and a friend of Adam's. Their customer service really is great.
  4. I have never found a need to tape off an area to remember where I have done the car. And I really don't think it will take you 2-3 hours to wash and clay bar. I have found that the clay bar actually goes fairly quickly. It seems to do a great job just plenty of Quick Detailer. I know Adam once told me that you don't even have to clean the clay bar residue off the car if you are going to follow with Revive, but since I followed mine yesterday with the Fine Machine Polish, I did use a microfiber towel to remove the residue before the Polish. Good luck.
  5. Wow, looks great, you did a great job. Just FYI, since you have already applied the Sealant, I would wait until you are ready to do another detail. If you are talking about Brilliant Glaze, it really needs to go on before the Sealant, really the car looks great all you really need to do if you want a little more "pop" is a coat of Buttery Wax or Americana.
  6. If you use the Adam's Clay Bar, Revive, Brilliant, and Buttery Wax, it will have you talking to yourself...you will realize that your truck never looked so great.
  7. Thanks for the words of support. I agree with you, I love Adam's Polishes and every product I've ever used. I think Adam and the crew are great, but darn that Americana plastic container is just irritating the heck out of me.
  8. Let me answer the questions, yes I keep the applicator in the container but I have tried it with it out and it is still almost impossible to get the lid on and off. No there is not build-up of residue on the threads, I have checked and even cleaned to make sure there was nothing causing the problem. Next, yes it does bug me A LOT, and honestly at the price of the wax (which is worth it) I should not have to replace it in a different container, it should have a quality container even if the price must increase a little. It is just crazy to put money into any product and then have to wrestle it to get the lid on and off. Poorly designed containers was the reason (and I like Adam's MUCH better) I quite using any and won't recommend any of Meguiar's products because the bottles of they liquid products break very easily and when I contacted them they didn't even respond to my letters. So I just don't see a reason to have a container that is difficult to open and close.
  9. Finished detailing the SHO...started it yesterday and finished today with a coat of Americana...it looks great! But the darn lid on the Americana Wax is almost impossible to get on and off, I really don't think the container is worth a darn!
  10. Just discovered something that I really, really, really, really HATE...the lid on my Americana Wax, this morning it took me 10 minutes to get the darn lid off, and 20 minutes "attempting" to put it on when I was finished. This has been a PITA since I've gotten the Americana. Come on really, shouldn't a great wax deserve a container that is easy to open and close???? It is so difficult to open and to get the lid back on, that I may not purchase another Americana Wax, because that's how upset I am with the silly lid at this moment. BTW, the car looks GREAT and I love the Americana...but a big BOO to the container!!
  11. I stand corrected, I do know that those products do work and they remove swirls without a lot of hard work!
  12. I purchased the bag a few years ago and I love it! It really holds a lot, keeps it's shape nicely and is just a great way to keep most of the supplies I use with the PC together! I give it 2 thumbs up!
  13. I really hate all the tri-axle trucks that travel my road with loads of fill that are uncovered and end up leaving a dirt film on my cars. Also hate the fact that these trucks can't read the 35 speed limit signs and feel they must speed through a residential zone with kids!!!
  14. I was always told that the chemicals also help fill in the tiny imperfections in the swirls to make them disappear...can't confirm that but it seems to make sense.
  15. Don't be nervous just dive right into it. By tomorrow evening you will be tired but I'm betting you will be wowed and very proud of how good you car will be looking. Adam's is great stuff and you really can't mess it up. I remember my first detail with Adam's...all I kept saying to myself as I finished it, was wow, wow, wow!!!Good luck, looking forward to pics.
  16. Agreed, you can never have too much Detail Spray. Also, be prepared to spend a little time using the Swirl Remover, you will be amazed at how much better your paint will look after using it.
  17. This is true, but in the old days Brilliant Glaze was just called Brilliance and Adam was considering discontinuing this product after Buttery Wax was introduced. I spoke with him at length at Carlisle because I always felt that a coat of Brilliance (now Brilliant Glaze) before the wax just made the finish look awesome. I still use Brilliant just before waxing and it still really adds a lot to the final product.
