  1. Sorry to hear you are sick, but once you see the results from your detail, you will feel much better, hope you get over the bronchitis quickly!
  2. I agree with you. But since you mentioned Dr. Colorchips, have you ever used their kit, and if you have does it really work as slick as they show in their ads?
  3. Congrats on finding Adam's Polishes, you will never regret it. Once you've done your truck, you will find yourself wowed by how great it looks after the first detail with Adam's. Using Adam's is the best way to get you hooked! As far as the undercarriage protection, not really sure as to what you are looking for, I know there was a company that applied a clear coating on the bottom, it had a lifetime warranty, the only hook was the vehicle had to be checked yearly to make sure it was still covered, the stuff they applied had something in it that reacted to UV (black) lights so the techs could check for any areas that something may have scrapped the bottom, and they would re-apply to keep the warranty in force. I have tried like heck, but I just can't remember the name, my local Mazda dealer applied it to all my RX-7's and I really liked it because it offered protection and was ugly like other coatings I have seen.

    Sunrise

Nice reminds me of the many mornings I spent in Florida while attending FIT in Jensen Beach...it's a great shot!
  5. Thanks for the info...I don't know how I missed it. I guess I have a good supply now. 1 1/2 bottles of Machine Wax and 1 of Super Sealant...I guess I know what I will use next week when I detail the wife's Explorer.
  6. Nice, both the exhaust and the engine bay look great!
  7. I think I have your code figured out: DS-Detail Spray WW-Waterless Wash GC-Glass Cleaner LIC-Leather & Interior Cleaner LC-Leather Conditioner This is a pretty cool idea, but having used Adam's Travel size bottles, they are really handy too, and have nicer labels! lol
  8. I've been using clay bars for over 10 years and all they have ever done is make the paint feel and look better, I have never repeat NEVER seen any type of damage on any of the vehicles I have used a clay bar to help clean the paint.

    How to drive properly

I agree, I guess one of my biggest pet peeves is that most people drive like they think they are the only car on the road. I just can't believe some of the things I've seen people do while driving, and the only explanation can be that they are completely ignore to the fact that there are other cars using the same highway! Every day it seems to get worst, but all I can do is shake my head and drive defensively.
  10. Speaking of Machine Super Wax, I have noticed that I can't seem to find it offered for sale any longer. Has it been discontinued or am I just missing it?

    How to drive properly

Now in order for people to see that, you need to text it to their cell phone so the can read it while they are driving....
  12. Nothing to add, I agree with Dylan, just wanted to say the Chevelle looks great!
  13. Cool, but I already knew that Adam, Lynn, and the team are the BEST!
  14. You won't regret this purchase, in a short while you'll be wondering why you waited this long to get it!
  15. Guess I have to agree, and I mostly do this if I am only washing and drying...I will say that it does increase the possibility of introducing dirt but if you drive slow and stay on "clean" roads, you don't see much dirt, besides, usually only a mile or so drive before completing the drying and using DS. I haven't really seen a swirl or dirt problem but I do agree it could happen but I have not had that problem. Plus if you have a vehicle that has a tendency to throw road dirt onto the exterior, I would not recommend driving before drying, however, since this doesn't seem to affect our vehicles having dirt accumulate after a short slow drive doesn't happen.
  16. Ahh, you beat me to it! Anyway, if you haven't had any experience I would suggest the PC, it works great and will really improve the look of both cars. Also it's almost impossible to damage the finish using the PC, then later as your experience increases you can always add the Flex to you arsenal.
  17. I think it makes sense, why not ask for something you really need and want...the thing to ask for is Adam's Gift Certificates, that way you can order what you want and get the correct item instead of hoping other people order you the correct thing. Also, I never thought I would have everything I want, and even after 10 years I find myself getting a few new Adam's items now and then but my collection is looking pretty good right now!
  18. I normally don't do the baggie test more then quarterly and normally only have to clay bar a max of 3 times a year. I really think that 2 coats of Americana is plenty, no need for a 3rd coat if you are using the Waterless Wash and Detail spray several times a week. I put 2 coats of Americana on my car 2 weeks ago, and was considering another coat but this morning I went over the car with Waterless Wash, and it really didn't need another coat. This evening I will go over the car with Detail Spray and it totally brings it back to looking great. As far as swirls, I am not seeing any if I do things right, if there's any doubt about using one of the products Waterless Wash/Detail Spray or to wash, I will wash. I may see some wipe marks from the Waterless wash if I don't keep turning the microfiber I'm using or if it gets too damp, but they will disappear with another spritz of spray and a new towel.
  19. Yes, the Lewisburg Advanced...but when I mentioned the SS, everyone lit up and said "Oh, you mean the SS boy's!" Then they denied ever hearing of you guys or of Adam's Polishes! lol
  20. My apologies, it must be my old eyes tricked me, because the finish looks to darn good for me to have made that mistake. The car does look great, and again sorry for the mistaken identity!
  21. That looks darn good, for your first time...however, the towel in the reflection of the door looks suspiciously like it's not a microfiber....if you are using anything but microfiber for anything, get rid of it and use microfiber, it will make a difference. Also, the car looks great, and the next time you detail it, it will come out looking even better, but a nice job and it does look good!
  22. Gee, reminded me of pictures my dad had of my uncle's station in Indiana...I remember them talking and complaining about the cost of gas when it went from 6 gallons for a dollar all the way up to 5 gallons for a dollar. I had almost forgotten about the dingers that were activated by air pressure, the station I hung out at during high school had those...and gas was 24.9 cents per gallon...ahh, how times have changed.
  23. Very nice work...does your girlfriend appreciate the time and effort it took to get the Escape looking great? Or will you be doing it all over again in a few months? Sure hope she appreciates how great it looks. BTW, I too only have a PC, but I'm considering adding the Flex, because there are times that the forced rotation would be good...and since I have the PC, adding the Flex would give maximum flexibility for all jobs.
