  1. Thanks Chris. It hasn't arrived yet but from what I understand its variable speed via a trigger. I'm assuming that one can set it at say 5 and the trigger won't go past 5 ?
  2. I ordered the flex last week and have been watching the videos etc. since. What speeds are recommended for each part of the process ? Thanks
  3. No power for 5 days , tress down ( no leaves to rack this winter)and only 1 piece of facia off the house. After cutting up 2 trees, putting up pc of fence and other mics cleaning / yard work; it's car time. The Mustang is garaged so she needed the master blaster , waterless wash and detail spray. Then I took a time out; I hadn't heard the whine of the supercharger so I took a quick spin. The Camry was another story.... Blow out leaves ( how did they get in some of the places they blew out from )and a full wash followed by Svrt , under carriage spray and a DS wipe down. The Highlander will have to wait for latter this week; I'm pooped out. Now it's time for some football. I was going to order flex over labor day sale but had other things on my list but did get Americana ordered on Tuesday or Wednesday. So goes life in Southeast Louisiana.
  4. I posted pics on Adams FB. Take a wooden clothes pin, put a skinny piece of velcro on the long part. Clip clothes pin on the clothes line; press pad on clothes pin. Pretty simple.
  5. PS: Chase used the pool hose ; it looks like it works as well as the factory extensions and its cheaper $ wise.
  6. Mine is mounted with the metro vac setup. I wash in the same area and this works perfect ; including clearing the driveway and dusting the garage.I have blown tools off the peg board... becarefull.
  7. All waffle weaves seem to stain somewhat; there is a difference between stain and dirt. :-)
  8. Sheet rinse, "herd" what's remaining top down off to 1 side, spritz w/ DS, wipe w/ WW towel. I have a dedicated 20 amp circuit wired with 12ga to a dbl GFI gang box. The MB is mounted to the wall and has 35' of hose. I didn't know what I had been missing until I got one.
  9. I wouldn't wear either in a rain storm...just saying.
  10. PS: My wife shakes her head and smiles. She says she's going to send me to the Adams clinc for detail addicts.
  11. Rinse, rub on grit guard, rinse, wring out, run thru dryer ( by itself) on air dry, hang on clothes line for final dry, after dried I hit with master blaster and comb with brush. Looks brand new and there no wolf in sheeps clothing to scracth my ride. Same process for regular wash mitts.
  12. Besides the issue of what was I thinking; it took me longer to " shave" than do the original task itself.
  13. Rainy day so it's garage time for tunes, cigar and detail rims. Quick sealant went on,set and buffed off ( where the problem started). I had micros that were linting so they were relegated to tires.... you guessed it I have hairy wheels. Why did I not think I'd have a problem??? :burnout:Detail spray and WW micro did the trick. Moral of the story throw linting towels away or use for checking your oil.
  14. Colodude18 - your daughter must know mine. I think this "new" generation lives in their cars but sleep at home.
  15. Paint 2 bucket wash/rims-in & out/ wheel wells/ tires/ blow dry with MB/ wipe with DS and dressing with SVRT. Highlander - 1 1/2 hrs - once a week. Camry- 45 minutes - once a week. 5.0 GT- 1 1/2 hrs- once a week. I can't stand riding in a filthy car. Note: if you don't clean your wheel wells it's like taking a bath and putting your dirty shorts back on. Saturday morning it starts at 5:00 AM ( I had extra flood lights installed & a garage to work in) ;I'm picked up / cleaned up by 10:00AM. How much product ??? your guess is as good as mind.
  16. Dremmel tool with polishing pad; get them right and clean weekly with leftover suds from washing .
  17. PS: I feel your pain. I didn't realize that it got that hot in "Yankee" land. I detail in the garage with a big wheel mounted fan blowing on me & the car. Firts thought was that I was blowing dust on the car but then realized that it was lint.
  18. I rewashed all the micros by size - doubles together ,ditto singles ,air dried and blew off with master blaster before storing. I rinsed ,wiped and air dried the rubber maid container. I did 2 test spots- 1 the way I normally did and the other much less product. I let both set for the same amount of time. The heavy product did produce some lint; the lighter application did not. In SE Louisiana it has been in the mid 90s, very humid and a very high "heat index" of well over a 100 each day.
  19. Tried it on bed liner; it made the bed liner slick as owl sh_t and it collected dust like magnet.
