On my 5.0 I have a few pieces of hard plastic trim- end cap on hood scoop and cap on faux side scoops that I'm for ever dressing with Super VRT to stay kinda semi gloss black.is there an advantage to using the quick sealant? Will it hold its color longer? Will it cause discoloration ?
Thanks
I'm way down South and thankfully don't have to deal with snow so excuse my ignorance before I comment.
I thought you guys have block heaters ;wouldn't that generate enough heat?
Remote start your ride; car heats up snow drips off?
Master blaster?
An addiction....
#1 when your wife says" you got another Adams pkg".
#2 when you start buying 2 of everything so as in case you loose, damage or don't want to run out of something.
#3 when your garage looks like a Chinese laundry with micros hung all over the place.
#4 when you don't pass up a daily deal.
#5 when you have 3 sets of pads so as you can polish /detail for 3 days without worrying about pads drying.
And lastly look at your browser history and see it mostly Adams related.
2 or more of the above then its time to check in at the Adams clinc for detail disorders.
As a young man I was in similar situation; end result....if I do anything for friends of the family I don't expect much as I feel that I'm returning a favor on my parents behalf.
No big deal. Wash on cold, no soap, throw in dryer (no heat) , brush out and hang until completely dry. I bought 2 when they first came out and they look just as good as the day I got them.
I had a similar problem with my former Ford Taurus. I took a very fine grade steel wool and lightly went over it. It uniformed it out; it all looked the same inlieu of spots etc. I kept it dressed w/ Super VRT. The other choice was about $800. for new trim.
Picked a spot and used WW and wiped it down; no difference. Wiped off SS and no change. This is on a 2008 Toyota highlander; I m not showing any red , paint color, on the pads. It almost looks like a linting problem but its not. I'm using new single softs and Adams WW microfiber.
I've had my PC for over 2 years and feel quiet confident. I stepped up to the flex. I read ( re read) and watched ( re watched) all the threads and videos.
In flexing all was going along find and noticed dusting. Used DS, cleaned pads w/ Adams brush; that took care of that. In the sun light I noticed fine specs in the finish , it's so fine my camera won't pick it up. I repeated the process and still there. I clayed and still there. I used DS spray and waffle towel- still there. My next move was to put a thin coat of SS to see if when I wipe off if they disappear . I'm waiting for cure time to see if wipe off helps. PS: these are new pads I got with the kit.
Any suggestions???
It's a pain but I clean the pads after each use. I keep 3 sets of polishing pads. Under the "tips section" I posted how to modify clothes pins to hang dry pads.
Thanks guys.
Chase, I see Southern Hotrod on your billboard. They're good people and "Fast" Eddie knows his stuff. I had a "police" charger and a b b SRT8 with basics... Corsa, volant, catch can and a custom dyno tune from SHR.
