No fabric softener used. I read the microfiber care topic before washing. It was a mistake of use rather than washing. Next time I'll have a pre-soak bucket ready with APC + Revitalizer As long as the discoloration won't have an effect on their effectiveness then ill live with it its kind of misleading since you want to think they're not ok when they are.

I'll last with the heat but the rain was a mistake. Next time I do a car it will be during good weather unless I clean up my garage by that time. Yes I did. It was very smooth, so smooth to the point I couldn't put a bottle on the car because it would slide off. I have a feeling they got dirty from the trim and i might of even touched the tires when I was drying. No kidding. Not making the same mistake twice especially if I don't have backup pads

Well last weekend I finally did it after having the products for over a year, my brother and I did some paint correction on his 2002 Audi A4. We only went up to the Swirl & Haze Remover as the swirls and scratches weren't THAT bad. First things first is the lessons I learned: - Although I had a canopy that had the sides open and we were on a new concrete driveway, doing this in the rain is NOT suggested. We couldn't fit the entire car under so its covered without rain falling so we had to do half of the car completely, and then go on to the other half. - Rain also makes it a pain for the extension cords to stay clean, for the pads to not get wet - TAPE OFF THE RUBBER PARTS and seals around windows and such, including sunroof. Pads got dirty extremely quick - Have a spare set of pads incase the situation above arises and you need to wash the pad. It will NOT dry off very quickly =/ Questions: I made the mistake of not having setting up a separate bucket to put the dirty towels in and since I didn't tape off the seals and such, towels also got dirty quickly. So now, at least one of each of my towels has dark marks/spotting on it. I also washed the great white with some other blue drying towels I had and they got colored =/ Towels affected: Glass cleaner, drying, single/double soft, waterless 1. Will my towels ever be 100% white again? 2. I already soaked them apc the microfiber restorer thing I have (the one adams sells is going to be ordered on next batch!!) washed them twice in the machine, and they've gotten slightly better, if i was to use them again, will i screw up my paint and cause swirls or is this just different coloring and I shouldn't be worried? 3. One of my focus pads disintegrated when I was doing the door handle, the rest of them are completely fine and I used them the same way. Has this happened to anyone (pictures below) 4. Anything I can do to bring them back to their clean state? Pictures: Not sure what else I can ask, so that's it for now!

Well i have a sidekick now for drying purpose alongside the drying towels so im not too overly concerned with the drying portion.

Have you done vacuuming with heavy soiled areas? How did it do?

I figured it's about time I pickup a dedicated vacuum cleaner and I'm having a hard time deciding as crazy as it sounds. For some reason I thought the vac n blo 500 had the 4hp motor which I guess would be more power than the 500 but my question is this, will I be ok with the 500 for my uses or should I really break down and get the 4hp motor one? Overall my car sees a wash every week, and an interior cleaning at right about the same time or I scatter it throughout the week days but I do, do other family members cars but i wouldn't say necessarily on a weekly basis. Some are more soiled than others. I also do plan on opening up my arsenal and whatever learning skill set I have to others such as friends and friends and friends. How do the 2 machines compare? I understand they'll both get the job done but is it really a night and day difference? Will the work with the 500 take me just a bit longer if the car is heavily soiled as if I was to use the 4hp one? 2 bucket wash on a BMW 5 Series for a potential future customer. Brothers friend who wants to take care of some of the scratches and swirls on the car. Didn't look too bad so should be able to probably take care of it with 2 step correction. Tomorrow, full Audi A4 exterior detail

I made the mistake in the past week.....TWICE!!!! First was on my car which I had to run around with a waterless wash afterwards, at which point I told myself I'm not doing it again, then a few days later i broke my own rule and did my mothers car. Although hers for some reason wasn't as bad the windows had bad water-spots that look like they will need a good detail job to get rid of but that's a different project altogether.

Sure do have it, it came with one of the packages I ordered. Might be doing the machine sealant tomorrow and on Thursday applying brilliant glaze and buttery.

Might be trying some of the stuff out this Sunday if all goes well.

Need to visit one of the rugdoctor.com locations to rent one out with the hose attachment. Hell maybe ill do all the carpets in the car while I'm at it. What else can it be used for? Seats?

No wonder my hands were all "dark" after furious washing, good to know!

I think a steamer rental somewhere will be in order, couldn't get it off and i tried numerous times ;(

Yes, the yellow carpet brush and adams carpet and upholstery cleaner. Do i let it soak for a few minutes longer or something and then scrub hard?

So a little while ago one of my brothers friends decided it would be a good idea to spill something on the carpet in the rear seat. Schedule has been busy and we didn't have Adams products around to try and tackle it. So I tried today. Sprayed it with apc and a bit of carpet cleaner. I let it sit for a bit and then scrubbed the hell out of it.... It doesn't seem like it did anything at all. Any ideas? Attaching picture

Hi there all, I'm trying to get back into getting the basics down for detailing and order products I will need for future projects today. I purchased a whole kit last year but never got to actually use it thanks to my car getting totaled. For reference, all the family cars I do and have done are daily driven. I'm looking around and now I'm a bit confused. The following are available from looking at the site and reading around: - Adam's Buttery Car Wax (have it) - Adam's Quick Sealant - Americana paste wax - Adam's Machine Super Sealant - Adam's Brilliant Glaze So the confusion part comes on what to use and when, obviously I won't be doing this stuff on a weekly basis, just when my cars get detailed which I'm planning to do every few months now instead of twice a year. So from my understanding first comes the washing, claying, polishing. 1. Then it seems like I can do Adams Machine Super Sealant? 2. Then for hard to reach areas hit it with the quick sealant or is that not necessary? I don't honestly foresee too many "hard to hit" areas... 3. Is the following step(s) optional or necessary? Brilliant glaze for that extra shine? Followed by, or JUST buttery wax or americana? 4. As a side question, where/when would I use the revive polish? Am I understanding somewhat correctly? I saw Adams sprayed the subaru with the quick sealant but from some reading it seems that it was suggested for the hard to reach areas once you do the machine super sealant. EDIT: I've edited this post a few times already and I know it's the 4th so I shouldn't expect a reply right away, I'm actually watching the videos right now and some of the questions are being answered as I go along, so sorry in advance!

Hello there all, I recently picked up a new car and compared to my older ones this one has a few plastic pieces that are "glossy & smooth", so my main question is, how would I go about cleaning these? I took a regular utility towel the first time around and wiped it but then I noticed scratches so I'm thinking it's too rough for these parts. Should I just use the single or double soft towels for these specific parts? I only have a few of them. Some pictures below (yes it's dusty but that's because I like to drive with my windows down a lot, and they stay open a lot of the time too)
