Open Clinic at Adam's HQ - May 24th
ECaulk replied to Team Adam's's topic in Company Info/Announcements
Can we get another Clinic organized in Sept? -
Agreed these bags are amazing quality. Getting more is tempting, but the 5gallon wash bucket works well for holding washing related products and the bag contains my polisher, polish, and detail spray

Didn't think those words went together

How should I clean these headlights?:)
ECaulk replied to DwDrummer's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Try polish first. If that doesn't work try 2000 grit and then feel the lense, it should have a consistent feel, if not more sanding is needed. Follow sanding up with polishing and then apply a sealant -
Ditch the gmpp tune and you'll be running better times. I have hptuners pro if you have a want to use a remote tuner, I'm not confident enough in my tuning abilities to tune others.
-
If it has the 2.0 ecotec turbocharged engine, then it will be a very fun car with simply a tune. Not sure about sky forums, although performance auto werks and zzperformance offers parts and support

OP Adam speaks the truth. I have a flex and tried the cyclo, not quite as much control is needed to maintain the position since the heads rotate counter one another. But I'm not buying a cyclo, if I had joint issues might consider it

Thanks for the link ordering it tonight

Guess I should of double checked the website first. Last time I picked up my order at Adam's hq the availability of them were unknown.

Adam I'm glad to see you stick to your guns. I was disappointed when I heard that Flex was bought out by a Chinese company. -
This. Adam's mf towels where the first mf towel that didn't catch on my rough hands. Plus the CD test is a easy way to see the difference
-
Going to have to try this today, might compare it to the soap method for reference.

No Valentine Day's special this year?
ECaulk replied to keev14's topic in Product Polls, Feedback, and Company Input
I agree, just wait a bit and put a little extra money aside and make a large order. I'm still using stuff I picked up last spring. -

Streak Free Mirrors and Glass Every Time
ECaulk replied to SYMAWD's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Nice video OP. I used to clean my windows this way, then I tried Adam's glass towel and haven't looked back. Definitely worth the money, and if you don't like it you can return it. -
APC and a brush works fine for me. Also using CS and the tire brush works fine, plastidip is pretty strong once it sets, but stripping chemicals its no match for.

how do you remove cigar smell from the interior
ECaulk replied to goalddinn's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Like mentioned before you have to get it completely cleaned first. Then if you still notice the smoker smell and don't have access to a Ozone generator, pour some vinegar into Tupperware containers place on the floor mats (where the foot setting won't blow it out) remove the cabin airfilter, turn the car on crank the heat, put it on the floor setting with reticulate and let it run for awhile. The vinegar will break down the chemical bonds that causes the smokey smell in your air ducts, obviously dont get directly in your car after its been running with the vinegar cups, open both passenger and drivers doors then remove the cups (don't spill them or it will go from smokey smell to vinegar smell ) roll the windows down and leave the heat on a little longer. -
Tested out the flex...everyone should try a tester!
ECaulk replied to HFX Detailing's question in Paint Correction & Polishing
Looks good, nice before after. The keyed area could of used the drill polish or even some wet sanding with some 2000grit -
^ Solid advise. I rarely use a brush, but sometimes the leather is to dirty and for the textured leather of the late 90s early 2000s can be a pain to get cleaned up without it.
-
Delayed response, it takes frequent care to get it back to perfect. I have it on my seat inserts (no idea why Chevy thought that was a good idea) my drivers seat was getting pretty bad and starting to mat down, after cleaning it with LIC I started brushing it almost every time I get out of the car, and hit it with LIC once a week its starting to come back. I'm sure if I worked on it for a few hours over a weekend it would be better quicker, but I'm fine with the slow improvement.
