  1. I'll have to refer my friend/coworker to this thread since he will be out there. Should hopefully have his fresh engine mods all settled in as well!
  2. Believe it or not but that was his first time ever drag racing. I told him he needs to look into a better wheel and tire combo if he wants to keep going to the track and shaving more time off. Needless to say his already looking into it
  3. Ah he edited the video so the old link didn't work. New link is now posted. Please let me know if you still can't view it. Sorry about that.
  4. A little drag racing action for all who like this build. Be sure to look at the comments on the video as well. He had to let off or else he would have broken into the 10's easily and would need even more of a cage. 5. Needless to say I wasn't too happy about their shoddy work either. I know they won't be pulling this stuff on me when I have my new hood and front end painted. I think I'd be out there spending a good hour going over the entire two pieces they painted. I'll tell them to take a seat inside while I look at it in direct sunlight and make notes.
  6. This is a very nice truck indeed. Any reason for the sale? Going newer? Good luck with the sale! Talk about a towing beast!
  7. I think I found it. Going to try and look into removing the B pillars more when I have some free time. I'm currently designing a sub box for the G8
  8. I just tried clicking on that link and it was a bad one. I'll see if I can dig it up over there.
  9. I think it was only around 100 here yesterday before the storms rolled thru. I went outside to warm up since my company thinks 65 degrees is okay for our AC in here and when I came back in everyone was all worried if I was okay and if I passed out from heat stroke. I just looked at them funny and said 'I'm fine and it's not that hot out. It could be hotter.' They acted like I had three heads. Silly city slickers.
  10. X2! If it is then I'm sure I know what the next project will be! Wonder how difficult it is to remove the rear pillar portion as well. Hmm...
  11. SUPER easy. Pop the plastic circle cover off to reveal a Phillips head screw. Remove that carefully and then slowly work your way down towards the front of the pillar. There is only 1 clip that is holding it on about 2/3rds of the way towards the windshield. It looks like there is an airbag there and I didn't want to accidentally hit it so that's where our good friend Alex came in. Plus I didn't want to mess up her ride.
  12. Because when you look at the TBSS from head on that's actually the most noticeable difference. That's okay I take the blame for everything else so just blame it on me. Black headliner eh? PM me with info please!!! It's actually nicer to drive at night time too. You don't have that 'whited out' glare from others headlights when they are approaching you.
  13. Don't worry Mook, it will be taken care of. I guess I could see the difference right away since I always played those 'What's different between the two photos' games. Even if I didn't have a hand in doing it, I still would have seen it. You all must be getting old...
  14. The smile on my face knowing my ride is cleaner than nearly anything else out there on the road. My full corrections I do on mine have been dubbed the 'Show stopper, panty dropper' level of correction.
  15. Oh yes this is the plan for the detached garage/shop. If it was attached I would do just like my neighbor did with his window unit(s) for the summer months.
  16. What is this Forza you speak of? Heck I don't have time to sit and watch TV let alone sit and play video games. It's the work-a-holic in me
  17. Two weekends ago I spent all day Saturday and half of Sunday doing a full correction on my best friends G8. I drank water and Gatorade all day long to keep me from being totally dehydrated. After I was done for the day on Saturday we were all relaxing in front of the fan to cool off before heading into the house for a much needed shower. Something wasn't sitting right in my stomach and I ended up spending an hour in the bathroom paying my respects to the porcelain goddess. This has taught me two things. 1) Don't push yourself too much during the heat warning days 2) Future garage must have a full HVAC system in it. Even if the edge of the heat was knocked off from 105 to 85 that would have helped out greatly.
  18. I'm interested in the long term holdup of your results since in a few years I think a Cruze will be my DD car. For me I know I wanted something that got over 35mpgs highway, had a back seat large enough to haul the dogs around in and is fairly comfortable. The Cruze seemed to fit that bill with ease and in another 5 years they may have some more engine offerings or tweak them to become even more efficient. Nice results!
  19. Holy crap I think you have the most vehicles with a whole crap ton of mods done to them on this forum! Sounds like a really nice setup. Please tell me you have some really nice garage to keep all of these rides in. I don't know if I could have any of those sitting outside!
  20. I don't have to worry about my better half and the use of Adam's Products
  21. Haha it's in the works ladies and gentlemen. Can't give away everything on here since my better half could possibly pick up on something What did I do today? Well I finished relocating the On Board Air relay on the Jeep along with the air manifold. Got everything cleaned up, rewired and buttoned up. Ran into a bit of a snag remounting my ammo cans which hold my spare fluids and tools for the Jeep but after some brainstorming my good friend and I came up with a solution that will hopefully be taken care of soon. Then cleaned up the garage a bit, watched the first Boondock Saints and Iron Man on the big screen, watered the plants since its been pretty hot and dry here the past week and now I'm listening to the fireworks go off at the local display. The cat is freaking out and is hiding in the bath tub. Hahaha!!
  22. On a serious note I would be game for a few of the jumbo sized double soft microfiber fender protector towels. I have a cam, head, stall, LTH install coming up on the G8 and internal work and a wicked FI setup to go onto the TBSS. Can't hurt to have at least 2 so you don't have to keep moving it from side to side. Put it on one fender, do your work and not worry about any scratches. Now on a not so serious but kinda really serious note, lifts rule and I wouldn't mind an Adams group donation for a wedding gift towards one.
  23. James, are you on air? What are your suspension specs?
