  1. Welcome Mike, I just lost a good friend who lived in Katy
  2. It has came to my attention that some of you do not know how to properly attach a spray head to an Adams product. Below is a picture tutorial of proper placement. proper placement for right handed people Proper placement for left handed people. Notice label facing out when properly placed. Sprayer totally wrong and catywompus, decide if you are right or left handed and start over.

    Am I crazy?

Should have let him know, this purchase does not qualify for Prime.. Totally your fault as you never even offered the 2 day shipping option for an additional $79....
  4. Are you talking about the one position off/on without spray and stream? If so I just purchased sprayers and they were all this way. I robbed a old one from another bottle. I like the spray way better than the stream, I think the stream wastes product and doesn't deliver the product as evenly
  5. I am kinda old school and prefer the VRT look on the Corvette for car shows ect. But the new tire shine is the bomb for my daily driver. So much faster and easier to apply than VRT. Also a nice BLACK look. I found the gloss easy to control. Like others have said 4 little sprits around the outside and then dress with applicator. I found leveling it off again 20 or so minutes later gives me my desired look.
  6. Thanks for the pictures.... Looks like a nice show. I may have to heard the Vette in that direction
  7. I use a 100 footer all the time with mine.... Never been a issue
  8. I use the 3 inch pad on the Porter Cable. More controllable in the tight areas that most bumpers have.
  9. False The next person is a Grandparent
  10. What? I'm not supposed to check my oil and coolant before a 100 mile trip? When did that change?
  11. HEY DAVE............... That worked Thanks, I wouldn't have believed it would be strong enough. After about four soakings and about 10 minutes of scrubbing with a microfiber I was able to remove it all. Left it somewhat dull, but a heavy dose of leather conditioner fixed that Happy, happy happy.... A good paint correcting session and I will be good as new
  12. Yes Rich, I know.. I picked the car up at 5.45pm... It was almost dark. The car looked great when they pulled it around. We needed the car for the weekend, and I hoped in and left. It was only after I got it home in my shop that I realized it's true condition.
  13. Hello, as some of you know I hit a deer on New years day. I got my car back from the body shop last night. First let me say the paint match is very good.. But how can they destroy the rest of my paint so bad. It has scratches all over like a drive thru car was does. It has clear coat over spray in numerous places and scuffs and marring, over spray under the hood ect. Although disappointed, I can correct all these problems... The worst is gray paint smeared on my drivers seat from the pin stripping... I have tried alcohol to get it off, but it doesn't faze it. I am afraid anything stronger will remove the black from my seat. Anyone had this problem? I guess I should take it back and let them try. Then they can replace the seat if they mess it up. I have had this car six years, and in 5 days they caused more damage than I have in that 6 years I have owned it. Any ideas on the paint smears? Funny how I can be pleased with the repair, but so disappointed with what happened to the rest of the car.
  14. I used 1/8 inch holes and put them more toward the side of the pipe rather than on top.My thought was the towels would not lay directly over holes and block them... Think it would work either way... Post some pictures when you guys get them done
  15. Thanks guys, It works pretty well... Well enough that the last time I brought my towels from the shop for my wife to wash, she took a look and said how come you never pre-washed them. When I said I just didn't do it, her comment was NO you go do it, it really makes a difference.... This is proof enough to me that it works pretty well. I run them about a hour or so, then let them soak a day and run it again.
  16. Doesn't surprise me, they pay no attention to signs or traffic signals
  17. Thanks Chris, I never had a chance. It was like someone copied him and I pasted him Felt as if I could have stopped faster and missed him, but the antilock just kept me rolling
  18. http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/24673-poor-mans-micro-fiber-washer/?do=findComment&comment=391747 I use this, My wife does the wash and said it helps a lot.
  19. This is my problem.... I am a Mechanic and live behind my business. So the interruptions are usually on the weekend when I am closed. I am out washing my personal vehicle and people spot me and stop by to ask mechanical questions and do I have this or that ect. Once I move into the shop and shut the doors all is ok. Just the wash process. Invariably I will have soap on the car or trying to dry. I have hard water and it will spot if not properly dried. Others have said I should not complain and turn it into business, Car repair Is my business, so I usually do. I guess I am just a little selfish with my free time on the weekend. Plus who doesn,t like to complain once in a while
  20. And I thought sitting at home with a bad cold was bad.... Dang, Glad all turned out well
  21. I do live in the country
