  1. Hey Guys and Gals, I just found out my car has been chosen as a contestant on Cool rides online. Visitors to the site can vote once a day for cool ride of the month. The winner of this then has a chance to compete for Cool ride of the year. I would appreciate your votes. The link goes to the voting page. Mine is of course the 67 Corvette sporting the Adams shine. Thanks for your support. http://www.goldeagle.com/event_marketing/coolridesonline.aspx
  2. I use isopropyl alcohol.... Never had it hurt any paint, but I always test a inconspicuous spot first
  3. Someone gave you good advice, and welcome to the forum.
  4. Then my pressure washer developed a leak that will require pump removal....... Then I broke the spring on the glove box door. And the Alternator sounds like it is rattling..... Yep I had some pretty bad luck this weekend.
  5. Last week, last years local Homecoming Queen called me and asked if I could escort her with the Corvette at the local football game. The Corvette was perfectly detailed and put away for winter. At that time the forecast was favorable so I agreed. The weather took a turn for the worse I got to the school and find myself driving through 6 inches of muddy slop. Two laps around the track. Got home and tried to hose off the mud. I put the car inside on the lift and had cinder and mud coating the whole undercarriage of the car. Tried to wipe more mud off...... But guess what? Yep DOG CRAP...... Today I moved my lift outside and pressure washed the whole undercarriage. put the lift back inside and used the master blaster to dry the whole car. Waterless washed, detailed the tires and wheels and put away for the winter. Sometimes being a nice guy is frustrating.
  6. You're missing the glass cleaner and glass cleaner towels...Wouldn't want to go through all that work and have dirty glass. Also quick sealant is faster for wheels. Deep wheel cleaner is for nasty wheels imo, and green for maintained wheels.
  7. I love the Flex and was going to sell my PC.... But I decided to convert the PC to use focus pads. The PC does a great job with the smaller pads. It seems to have enough power to better rotate the small pad. So the flex is my main tool and tight spots and minor scuffs get the PC.
  8. Being totally honest here... I bought a gallon of waterless wash when it first came out. I never could find a use for it. I thought I would use it on my motor home, but always went for the detail spray. I liked the way the detail spray wiped off better. Then I thought I would use it as a drying agent and still found myself preferring the detail spray. This weekend I did a show and shine in the local area. The car wasn't to bad as far as dirty when I got home. I usually do a full wash down before I put it away. I decided to give the waterless wash one more try. WOW, it shined up so nice and cleaned the car so well I have to say I have found where this product is going to be a put the car away favorite
  9. I will gladly pay you on Thursday for that Caddy today.
  10. At a car show this weekend, guy next to me pulls out paper towel and sprays it. Proceeds to scrub the crap out of his paint. He did this all day. By the end of the day he had a zip lock full of paper towels... Amazingly his paint looked pretty good. How? I have no idea.
  11. I have an Auto repair shop, so I have a large commercial compressor with a 60 gallon tank. Used the washer today and it runs about 25 minutes before the compressor kicks on. Compressor runs a few minutes then shuts off, not bad. I like your Metro vac idea. I don't have oil or contaminant problems with this compressor.
  12. Yes, then crack the valve to adjust air. It doesn't take much
  13. This weekend I saw a egg washer and got thinking about pre washing my micro fibers at the shop. I usually put them in a 5 gallon bucket with a little all purpose cleaner and micro fiber restorer to soak. I came up with this. I haven't really used it much yet, but I think it is going to work pretty well as a pre wash machine. What do ya think? http:// http:// http://
  14. I like the black, it contrasts well with the yellow GTO
  15. Attended one of my favorite Car Shows this weekend, It was the Coburg Classic here in Oregon. Here are a few pictures, even brought home some hardware http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http://
  16. I have two 50's and one 100 footer.. The one I use daily is 20+ years old. The other two are 10+ years old.... All live outdoors, all as good as new.
  17. Buffed out the lower "Blue" portion of my Motor Home... It is 31 feet long. So both sides the back and front... Yep about 80 feet of polishing. http://
  18. I really like that color on the c-2s. Not real common
