  1. Thanks, thought I was just not seeing them on the website. My vehicles paint are already decent enough I probably don't need the heavy correcting compound. However, I always like to experiment with friends cars with any new Adams product!
  2. Results look pretty good. I bought a Cyclo not too long ago. I am not seeing 4 inch pads for the heavy correcting compound. Am I just not seeing them like usual? Has anyone tried this with a Cyclo?
  3. Very nice looking ride. I usually don't care for two tone paint, but that looks really nice. Hope you have fun with it. Your 07 would have been an upgrade for me. I have a 99 Ram with almost 200,000 miles and still going strong. It is still a truck I fully enjoy. Also have an 05 Dakota which I equally enjoy. I was going to sell the ram long ago, but still enjoy tinkering with it. It makes for a lot of surface area to polish though. Just upgraded my PC with a Cyclo to reduce the fatigue and so far find it to be a great polisher for the little bit of time I have had to play with it. Enjoy the ride!
  4. Well, I have used a PC for a few years now. I was considering moving up to a flex. However, after much debate I actually ended up buying a Cyclo. I have only had time to play on one panel of a friends car with a couple of small scratches. I was very impressed with it for the short time I have had to use it. The most impressive is how smooth it is!! At first glace it looks to be a bulky and awkward but is actually very maneuverable. It just feels like a well built durable machine. I can only compare it to my PC so this might not be very helpful. It did a fantastic job with the scratches I was tackling. However, hard to give an accurate assessment here for a couple of reasons. Besides using the Cyclo for the first time, It was also the first time I had used the microfiber pads or the the paint correcting polish With my PC I have only used foam pads with the old three step polish.. I can only say that we achieved good results for the little bit of effort with this combination. Anyway, so far very happy with my decision to purchase the Cyclo. Did I mention how smooth this thing is? Just my two cents. I wish you well with your decision.
  5. I can't offer you any ideas as to your eye, I just hope you get it figured out! Check back and let us know. Sorry I can't give you any other info that might be of help. Sounds like you are going about things the right way though. Process of elimination.
  6. That is a tough one. As someone who has had a car with a similar color, I feel your pain. This is a difficult color to just "touch up." Not sure what I would do there, However, if that is a metal panel you will need to do something before rust starts to show up. That will destroy the value of your car! I might try the touch up method first. If that does not meet your expectation then have the panel re-sprayed.
  7. I am in the matte club most of the time, with a hint of gloss others. I found if you use your applicator without spraying, wait just a few seconds and then wipe down with utility towel it gives me the desired sheen. Not too glossy. It gives that OEM look with maybe a slightly darker appearance.
  8. I had the same thing happen last year. There were no signs posted anywhere. Didn't even realize I went over the line till I arrived at my destination. Happen to be right across from a body shop when I got out of my truck. One side was splattered yellow, one side white. I actually walked over to the body shop to ask their suggestion. It was steam!! He said most stripes in PA are water based and steam takes them right out. Also, call the municipality it happened in to see if they will pay for it. In my case they did because I was able to prove there were no signs or cones anywhere. I also documented the now white and yellow truck that used to be red! Turned out great. Of course after the steam bath, I clayed it and gave it a fresh coat of quick sealant!
  9. There is some still floating around out there. I recently ordered three cans from Thompson racing in PA. Was so glad as I did not realize it had been discontinued when I ordered it. While all the alternatives that Adams have are great, this product by far is the easiest to use on wheels. It also lasts a lot longer than something like the H2O guard and gloss. I have only tried a sample of it on my work truck. I think it is a fine booster product and does add some gloss, however it does not hold up quite as well or last nearly as long.
  10. Sorry to see it go, if that is the case. While liquid paint sealant is great, the quick sealant is just what is needed for wheels. Also, it is great when you have a lot of painted metal trim that paint sealant leaves residue on. I use it on all my glass too, including my shower doors! As luck would have it, I just ordered a three pack from Eric at Thompson Racing. That should at least get me through winter I suppose. If anybody still wants some at least you know there is at least one dealer out there with some in stock!
  11. Without seeing up close and in person I would second this answer. Don't know where this car resides but around here in PA the stuff has been bad. Would be easy to miss in a spot that tight, even with the most careful detailing. rusman, your frustration is understandable with such a wonderful car. However, you came here for help and for some reason you have taken any question asked too personally. You are not being interrogated for murder here. However, if you want help from folks here you might have to answer a few questions. The only fact we have is that you sprayed the product in that area. You seem to be assuming that because you spayed it that it is an absolute certainty that the product alone is to blame. I think lax is on the right track. If not pollen, something else that has mixed with product. I hope you get to the bottom of it. I think there is more to it than just overspray.
  12. One and done! Sometimes a coat of Americana on top depending on time and how I feel.. Just tried the glaze for the first time this summer, so sometimes a coat of that too.
  13. I may be in the minority, but I love this product! I just bought some recently with no dripping issues. Of course you know to shake good before use. As far as the smell, I don't know what the old formula smelled like so can't help out there. I have only been using it for about two years now. It is great for the tough spots you can't get to with the leather conditioner. My honey's Pontiac has a black interior so if you miss any spots you know right away.

  15. I look forward to trying it. However, I already have a preconceived notion I will not like it. I am in the camp that likes a more muted natural black tone to my tires. Should not form an opinion unless I have tried it though. If I don't like it I have a neighbor who just loves his tires shiny. Might create another Adams fanatic. If it lasts longer than SVRT it will save him a lot of money because I think he goes through a bottle a week of the crappy stuff he puts on his tires now. He swears by the products he uses. His Mustang is flawless (except those tires) so I have never had anything to convince him to try anything else.
  16. Besides the Dakota, we have a Pontiac G6. I assume the material is similar in those two vehicles. I used a DYI product called leather magic. I just gave them my interior code and they matched the dye for me. I was repairing the back seat. There is some prep work involving lightly sanding the area. That had me a little nervous. It ended up working fantastic and you can't tell where the repair was made. However, for such a small area the professional would most likely end up being the better option. Just thought I would throw that option in the mix though. You should report back your repair experience.
  17. That is what I recommended also. This happened to me a couple of years ago and my Insurance agent recommended PDR. They paid the bill with no questions. It was right around $2000.00 to fix. Could not tell anything had happened after they were through. You are right about price. However they discount for every dent on same panel quite a bit. My truck looked like It was at a golf driving range all day so lots and lots of dents.
  18. That will take a little more than Adams Paint correction Polish! Good thing now those PDR guys can work wonders. My Dakota ended up with $2000 in hail damage couple years ago as it sat in an airport parking lot. Insurance company recommend painless dent repair. Some of these folks are true masters of their craft. My truck looked like nothing had ever happened to it.
  19. Had a similar situation, but not on the whole car. My better half bought a black Pontiac G6 at night in the rain.She called and told me she saw this cute car and she already paid for it! The hood and part of the left front fender looked just like your pictures. The car has been great, but not without a lot of under the breath thoughts and a lot of elbow greese even with a machine. She is still convinced I can fix anything! As everyone else has stated, you will never remove all that by hand. The black car convinced me to try a machine. This is when I was also sold on Adams stuff. It is pretty error proof. If you use a dual action machine like a Porter Cable and proper pad and polish combo, it is near impossible to screw up. Did not look to see where you are but I bet someone might even let you borrow one. Your friend is most likely concerned with using a rotory polished. Those can indeed do some serious damage in novice hands. What ever you do, don't skip the clay! Sorry for any spelling issues. My very old phone still thinks it knows better.
  20. I have not tried this yet but am thinking about it. I just used metal polish on the stainless fridge and it looks great. Thought you might maintain the stainless with waterless wash. Anybody else try that?
  21. This is my method as well. I also use two wash mits. One for top of vehicle, one for bottom. I think black cars can make anyone OCD in a hurry. I would rather do more steps in the wash and avoid the polishing as much as possible. Luckily, the black one is hers! Mine is still close with what Dodge calls Patriot blue. This is no different from polishing. There is no one right way of doing it. It is what works best for you to achieve results you are looking for.
  22. You could be right on the round applicator. The flip pad is a little tight. What I did with our Pontiac is what Gerry said. Lock the door and pull handle out. Place the flip pad underneath handle and keep pulling it through in an up and down motion. I could swear I got the idea from a personal video that Dylan posted a while back. Could be wrong though.
  23. I am late to this thread but this is where the old Adams Orange/Blue flip pad works wonders. Fits perfect in the door handle area of most cars I have tried it on. Got mine from Thompson Racing. Maybe some local dealers still have a few. I think this pad really did not get the love it deserved. It is perfect for touch ups or in tight spots you can not use the PC.

  25. Well, I had pictures but they are long since gone. Have not hosed down mats but I did use Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner in a rug doctor machine with great success. It was a large white burber area rug. Did half the rug and let it completely dry before I made any conclusions. The results were jaw dropping. We do not even wear shoes in the house but the amount of grime the bucket was filled with was scary. However, to see an actual bright white rug again was pretty amazing. Actually, the reason I used the rug doctor was the fact that I treated a couple of spots and had a couple of patches that were now much different color than the rest. The rug was way too big to tackle by hand so I tried the machine. Results were fantastic. Which is why I bought a gallon of that stuff! Long story short, many other Adams products have found their way into the house for cleaning. Metal polish is great for stainless appliances. All purpose cleaner works on about anything without worrying too much about damage. I just got my first can of quick sealant and am going to try that on shower doors. Anyone try that with good results?
