  1. So today was my 2nd time using Strip Wash and I'm having 2 issues with it.... Firstly, it doesn't seem to clean the car well. It's super sudsy out of my foam gun (non-Adams) and in the bucket, but the car is still visibly dirty once it's rinsed. I first noticed it on my wife's white Traverse, but just figured it was because that car's paint is pretty neglected and usually only sees those touch-free "lazer washes" at the gas station. But I was cleaning up my Mustang today and noticed the same thing. It seems like it's clean but once you rinse you can see dirty streaks in the paths the wash mit gets used. Secondly, it made all my plastic and rubber trim super dry. Usually all it takes is a quick wipe with the SVRT to get it looking good, but after using the Strip Wash I had to go over everything 4-5 times. The material was just absorbing it like crazy. Has anyone else had any issues like this?
  2. Go or no-go? I will say that I love the look of my stripes under Detail Spray and/or H20 Guard & Gloss, however I was told not to use Liquid Paint Sealant on the matte stripes so I'm not sure if the W&W is kosher.
  3. Any specific reason for the different bottle?
  4. Pics are in reverse chronological order. The first one was right after I installed the GT500 grilles, the next one was right after I installed the stripes, and the last 2 were shortly after I bought it and did the first round of exterior mods. Wheels got changed somewhere in between LOL. I've never had an issue with the heat on the tips effected the SVRT, the car always ended up getting dirty and needed washed before anything could happen.
  5. I'm looking for input on the use of Trim Coating on some pieces of my Mustang that aren't the usual rubber or textured plastic trim pieces. Right now I use SVRT on these pieces with great results, but I want the extended longevity of the Trim Coating. The first items are my Cervinis upper/lower grilles & chin spoiler. These are actually fiberglass that Cervinis paints with a matte black paint that's got a pretty significant texture to it. Kinda hard to tell that in the pic but I like a good excuse to show them off. Here's one where the chin spoiler has SVRT on it, you can see how nice it looks on the material in question. Contestant number 2 is my exhaust tips. Magnaflow refers to the finish as "black coated" and they have a good semi-gloss look to them (powdercoat I assume) that looks really great with SVRT as well. Ignore the mullet-machine in the background, it's not mine. Any thoughts?
  6. In my experience Dawn will wreak havoc on the cheap junk wax from the parts store but won't fully remove something from Adam's or a competitor.
  7. Man, I would absolutely literally (not literally) kill for some Adam's stainless steel appliance cleaner/polish. We got all new Samsung appliances in August and I swear they're more work to keep looking nice than a black car
  8. I disagree completely. I applied it for the first time after using Waterless Wash via the Dry Method and it couldn't have been easier. Spray on the wet edgeless > wipe it on > wipe it off with the dry edgeless.
  9. The pair I just bought were used and washed once, and they're already fraying at the corners
  10. I've been using Adam's products for about 4 years now. Some of it I love, and some of it I don't. I've also tried a lot of competitor's products, again some I love and some I don't. Adam's G&G always seemed like a cool product, so I was pretty pumped when I got a bottle in the last Mystery Box. Since I also had some Waterless Wash I wanted to try I decided on the dry method to apply the G&G. I wet one of the gray single softs and went to town. I have never used a product that was applied and removed so perfectly. It was literally as easy as wiping it on with the wet towel and wiping it off with the dry. No "buffing" required and no streaking, even on my matte stripes. I was a previous fan of the Quick Sealant, but when it was discontinued I switched to a competitor's "aerosol" sealant. It (the competitor) had great longevity but I thought it was really lacking in the looks department. And it's matching detail spray was about as streaky as smearing grease all over the paint. The slickness of the G&G is out of this world. I would put the amount of gloss above just about every wax I've used, short of Americana. I'm rambling now, here's a picture. If I had to give one complaint, I would say that with the dry method it's hard to tell if you're applying product or just wiping the paint with a wet towel. I think I used more product than I should have because of this, but I would still say that I used a reasonable amount. Using the same amount I'd say I could get about 7-8 total applications out of one bottle, more if I can reign in how much I'm using. Easilly a 10 out of 10 product, it's purchase and use should be required by law.
  11. No, just no Liquid Paint Sealant. G&G is good to go on matte vinyl.
  12. I went ahead and hosed off the real nasty sections, then went to town with the Waterless Wash. Worked great.
  13. Used the G&G for the first time today. Completely blown away. Gonna make a full post about it later today.
  14. I was told to avoid matte vinyl when using LPS, but I'm not sure about regular gloss vinyl.
  15. Ah nuts, I don't have any Rinseless, just the regular Shampoo and Waterless that I wanted to try out. Oh well I guess it'll have to wait for next time.
  16. The color in the picture is accurate, it's a pretty pale blue.
  17. Placed this order on Monday (June 27), shipped on Tuesday (June 28) and received on Friday (July 1).
  18. Is this too much for Waterless Wash? Just a bunch of gunk from driving in the rain the other day.
  19. 10-4 on that, I'll probably skip the LPS entirely for now then. I'm using a competitor's sealant now and I'm loving the durability, so no sense in changing just to change. On another note I'm LOVING the detail spray on these stripes. I tried it on the matte black stripes on my charger and it never looked right (I used Brilliant Glaze on them religiously) but it looks amazing on these.
  20. I'd buy that but there are already a few color-matched towels.....
  21. Seems like just about everything is color-matched now... Why not some pink towels to go with Detail Spray?
