  1. I ran once yesterday. Nothing impressive. ALTHOUGH: There was a Dodge Cummins Diesel (not sure of specs) that ran a 6.9sec @ 104MPH (Yeah you read that right) on a 1/8 mile track. That thing ran faster than the bikes that were running!! It was absolutely NUTS to see. I wish I got it on camera!
  2. Now that I have the car clean. I can really get a look at how bad the area really is now. I'm pretty happy with it's current condition. No, it's not all gone, but pretty close. And you really can't see it unless you get really close and are actually looking for it.
  3. I think this is a great idea for a new kit. Any chance of it becoming a reality?
  4. Yeah I've seen your thread. I'd be going back to the track today, but it's gonna rain. Ughhhhh
  5. How about including the Adam's Microfiber Applicator Pads instead of the Hex Grip Applicator? That way you have two applicators (one for each polish) and it's a touch cheaper. Just my two cents. Otherwise it sounds like a great idea for a new kit!

    Detail day

It really depends on when I'm not working. My schedule is no where near similar from one week to the other. But lately it's been on Wednesday because of a car show later that night.
  7. How come switching to a drill would make much more of a difference? I'll definitely be careful. I've heard of a few stories. But the area was getting pretty darn warm with just the PC. So I didn't go as long as I probably could have because I didn't want to risk damaging my paint any more
  8. I can get current pictures when I get out of work. My fingernail doesn't really catch it, but it feels a little rougher than usual (since it's damaged of course) Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  9. Maybe "buff" wasn't the best choice of word. I backed into a wooden garden boarder and it scuffed my bumper a bit. That's what I'm trying to get rid of. Not buff the entire car with 4" pads Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  10. I recently got my first buff on my car. And yesterday I tried completely buffing it out. I gave it like 7 or 8 passes of SSR on the 4" pads and didn't get the results I wanted. Can I keep going? Or is it just a waste of product and counter productive? Thanks!
  11. I think you should be fine with that. As long as they aren't totally full of product to the point where they aren't usable anymore.
  12. My driver side window fell off the track (don't ask why ), so I had to tear the door apart. Door panel, electrical wiring, weather strip, and remove the window from the mounts, lower it, and put it back on track. It wasn't too hard, especially since I've NEVER done something like that. It was a lot of fun doing it.
  13. Adam's Premium Porter Cable 7424 XP Polisher Kit This was my first purchase from Adam's. It has pretty much EVERYTHING you'll need to get started and do a great job. I recommend it.
  14. Older-ish. Probably early 90's or so. All Charger's are auto. So I don't get the 'fun' of being able to shift. But MAN there were so many people missing third gear, or stalling their cars. I could probably drive stick better than them
  15. I really gotta find a 1/4 mile track around here. I think there's a couple right across the Canadian boarder that I could always hit up. It's just not fun having to stop at 75MPH
  16. Just took my car to the track tonight. It's an 1/8th mile () drag strip. Not the best. But it's only 25 minutes away. I wish it was a 1/4 mile strip. I went down twice First race was against a 5.0 Mustang (I won, BARELY) and next was against my buddy's truck (just for fun, but I won.) First time was a 9.76, next was a 9.91. First time too. So I think once I get a good launch down, the time will be better. I have an 06 Charger R/T, pretty much stock. Except a Mopar CAI and catback exhaust. Anyone else do this? I think it's a ton of fun. Post your times or time slips!!
  17. Going to my camp this weekend! Can't wait for a relaxing weekend full of fishing, beaches, and hanging out with family and friends.
  18. This is where I went wrong. I used a little over 2 (16oz) bottles of Detail Spray when claying last weekend
  19. This is exactly what I was planning to do. I'll have to see how this turns out next time I wash the car.
  20. I never though about using car soap & water in a spray bottle. That will probably be even easier to use and a little less aggressive. Thanks for the idea!
  21. I ran out of GWC a few weeks back and I've been using 50/50 APC on my wheels as a substitute. Since my wheels aren't anything special, is there much of a difference for me? Can I just keep doing what I'm doing and not worry about GWC? Or should I stop using APC and get more GWC? Thanks for the help
  22. I totally agree with you right there. Once it comes time to move out. I'll definitely be looking for a place with a garage. I couldn't imagine not having access to one. Grandma's HHR went great. They were very surprised to see it shine the way it did. One more question: How did you guys start to find your customer? Post an ad in the newspaper/craigslist? Get to know a friend of a friend?
  23. The inside of the planes I work on Sorry about the big picture. I can't figure out how to shrink it! Please note, this isn't me in this picture. This is just a picture from Google. I'm only 19 years old
  24. I personally apply it every time I wash my car. But I only use it on my grill, and the grill gets hit with all the dust in the air and grime from the road. So I'd say that's necessary.
