  1. With all due respect, Surf City products are nice. Their detail sprays (both of them) work great, and their Road Grime Destroyer is highly praised. Although I personally prefer the Adam's Glass Cleaner, many think their Clearly Better is the best they've ever used. It didn't blow me away, but the point is just because it's sold in retail stores doesn't mean it's a crappy product. Lots of Meg's and Mother's products you can buy OTC are great products.
  2. If I'm understanding this correctly, this is a spray on product, not a concentrate like the "other" rinseless wash product out there. More along the lines of Griot's Spray on Car Wash (but hopefully works better than that waste of money) than something you mix in a bucket. Right?
  3. I placed an order yesterday online. About an hour later, I got an e-mail from Adam saying something along the lines of, "THANK YOU for your order, I was at my computer and saw your name come across my screen. Very much appreciated!" That's one of the reasons I use Adam's stuff. It's nice to know your order is genuinely appreciated.
  4. I love my G8. I find myself driving it 9 times out of 10 over my C6. I REALLY hope they rebadge it.
  5. Can I just say that your truck is 100% totally completely badass with or without the wax.

  7. 20s are stock on the 2SS. You can either get polished, painted silver, or a dark gray color. The optional 21" wheels are a little bit much for me. Too busy looking. I don't care for the stock wheels either, so if I decide to get one, I will be doing Pedders suspension and aftermarket wheels.
  8. Don't feel bad.... I washed mine with a couple of the new Adam's microfibers and now my drying towel is a pretty blue
  9. Ordered. Yay! Also got in on the fender brush with free wheel cleaner. Nice!

  12. One of my favorite products. Couldn't live without it.
  13. It was CorvetteForum, Evil_C5. Said something about the petroleum in the BSG will remove tar from your paint, so it will also remove your wax. Whatever, the dude tries to bash Adam's every chance he gets. Isn't Adam's a forum sponsor on CorvetteForum?
  14. I have to agree that an honest, dedicated sealant would be a welcome addition to the line. If there were a durable sealant available, you wouldn't need a wheel wax. Just use the sealant on the paint and wheels.
  15. Carnauba wax is used on a lot of food products. Shiny apples, shiny candy, etc.
  16. As an added bonus, it smells great
  17. Looks nice! I ordered some myself for my silver car this week after much debating. Not sure how much of a difference it'll make on silver, but I've also got a black/copper motorcycle with lots of chrome to use it on.
  18. Tools, yes. Detailing products, not really.
  19. Hey guys, I really like the ease of use and shine of Buttery Wax, but would like something with more durability. I have used Machine Wax, but I really find it therapeutic to apply wax by hand, so I prefer the Buttery. I just wish it lasted a little longer. I know there is a paste wax in the works, but what about an updated liquid wax for use by hand?
  20. I have tried several Griot's products. Their car wash, speed shine, and interior cleaner are all nice products. The Best of Show Wax was a joke. I got so frustrated with it that I just threw it away. Their microfiber towels are nothing to brag about, either. One thing I like about Adam's DS over Speed Shine is it works much better on windows. The Speed Shine has a minute amount of carnauba in it so I do not like using it when working with paint sealants, either. Honestly, there is nothing Griot's sells that you can't get from Adam's and the Adam's will be a much nicer product.
  21. Best way I've found to completely dry out a pad is to wring out the majority by hand then toss it on your PC and spin it at speed 6 while keeping the pad down in a bucket or something so it doesn't go flying across the garage.
