  1. No, that is not the case. Every time I go from my username it goes to new members content.
  2. when you go to "view new content" from your profile page, it automatically goes to members new content instead of forum new content. I think that should be changed No one looks at members new content lol
  3. Thanks for the review. I agree with your opinion in the pictures, I love things being dark in the car. To me that is the look that is better than new. Of course, Adam himself said that they wanted to this to not be too dark so the results you got are what is expected. The benefit of this product is of course that it cleans and gives that slight dressed look, which you talked about. Great review, much appreciated!
  4. I'm sorry but that happens with or without glass sealant at that speed. The true test is what happens at lower speeds like 30 to 45 mph.
  5. be careful of over saturation and shop vac suction. Both can cause the headliner glue to fail as mentioned. I do as Larry Kosilla does and blot dry the headliner. My own twist/addition is if you have a metro vac, use the heated air blower to help dry the headliner.
  6. americana doesn't normally last 3 months for me, so maybe a clay and re wax is needed?
  7. idk, personally I think you're attacking this the wrong way. If the finish is sandy and making that noise as you move your hand across, you need to clay and clay some more and finish off with more claying. Then polish. It sounds (to me at least) that you didn't clay long enough or enough times. Wetsanding is an extremely aggressive approach especially as your first step... imo only needed for RIDS or to remove orange peel.
  8. that is one gorgeous corvette!
  9. I think the heat is normal as long as you can't use it to bake bread
  10. The thing is if it's failing there then most likely most of the clear on the roof is close to failing. Polishing will only exacerbate the problem. I would avoid. Only seal and wax.
  11. I would avoid. Seal and wax and hope to slow the CC failure as long as you can.
  12. Gotcha, and that's the thing, you really need to have multiple sources of light. Halogen, LED, Xenon, and sunlight all have a place in my arsenal. Glad to hear it worked out!
  13. no never. My gf has a black nissan altima that is soft as h*ll. To get to polishing and waxing without making holograms is very difficult. I will hand wax her car, although normally I machine wax. Even a double soft will scratch and mar her paint.
  14. I generally use an AIO, a glaze, and some wax. Just no point to polishing the roof unless I'm getting paid for a 2 step job in which case I polish everything.
  15. I've put holograms in with the red pad on a DA, so it's certainly possible on soft paint.
  16. I try to let the pads air dry upside down so the water will be pulled away from the adhesive by gravity. I've put pads in the wash and dryer (experimentation purposes) and nothing bad happened, but adhesive is adhesive, there's only a certain amount of torment it can take before it starts peeling off.
  17. Yeah fine machine polish should take it out Do you have a japanese or asian-based car? Those are the only ones that tend to hologram with a DA in my experience because the paint tends to be super soft. On cars like these, I always hand wax/seal.
  18. yeah true, I guess you never know then!
