  1. Don't hold your breath. Adam's has been on a good streak of releases lately. I'm sure they want to make sure those towels are absolutely perfect before they release them. Might be a while.
  2. I don't know why Adam's doesn't just offer two products: The original detail spray and the new one as a spray wax.
  3. Good stuff. Polished aluminum absolutely looks the best, but man what a pain!!
  4. That looks very good! Did you put anything on them to stop oxidation? In a few weeks, they will look like the first pics again otherwise.
  5. I agree, if you want to go safe, follow Dylan's advice. But I was just throwing out my experience out there too
  6. I just toss it in the washer with my other MF towels. Dylan will advocate just tossing in your pads by itself, but I've never had an issue with mixing it in with normal towels with 3 different versions of MF pads
  7. The applicator does not need an even coat to give an even coat to the car. For example, if you use a soft style wax, if you get an "even" coat on the applicator, you are probably overloading the applicator and using way too much. In those situations, you will prefer to only grab wax on one third of the applicator. Yet you can still put an even coat of wax on the car. Now I realize that is not Americana, but in reality, the same concept applies. All you need to is watch where the layer of wax is going and you can make an even coat.
  8. Order the empty bottles! Get them now before you miss out!
  9. Are the new polishes DAT or SMAT? Judging from the cyclo video and what Dylan was saying while polishing, my guess is DAT, but I'm not sure.
  10. I don't get why anyone cares that it spins? It's nice because if you want to do machine application, you can just pop it out of the container, rub a little on the pad, and go to town. I'd rather it spin and be able to be taken out of the container than not move and stick in the container.
  11. This is absolutely true. If you google just half a test, you will see a few videos I made that show that even a clean surface sheets water. On that hood (which is half waxed and half un waxed, but clean) I often see beads after it rains all over the hood although the waxed side has the best beads.
  12. Americana in my experience lasts right around 2 months so I don't think you will have any wax left.
  13. 10 to 15% is my normal dilution as well. However, I have tested up to 91% on various paints and never got any damage to a paint finish. From what I have learned is that higher dilutions of IPA can open the pores of paint that will make it more susceptible to damage but it will not damage paint in and of itself.
  14. Frank, have you ever damaged paint with IPA?
  15. This will not strip wax. After doing dozens of tests on many different cars with quality LSPs (one such being Americana) with different dilutions, techniques, etc, that is the conclusion I have made.
  16. just ordered 4 empty bottles with sprayers and 3 extra foaming sprayers. Love the big bottles, sad to see them go.
  17. man where are the sales reps today? Called 5 times and never got anyone but the leave a voicemail message. When I got a call back, I was busy lol
  18. Gel coats like the heat of rotary. Not saying it's not possible with other tools, just that it's easier with rotary.
