swirlparanoid
is there a reason to use wheel cleaner every wash when the wheels aren't very dirty when soap and water would probably do just as good? what benefits would there be to using cleaner every wash? The Ryan
I only use it on heavily soiled wheels.. Waste of product on fairly clean wheels, because soap and water will easily wipe away light grime.
Chris@Adams
I agree, I use Adams Shampoo most of the time on my wheels. Also I don't let brake dust build up either.
mc2hill
I agree, I use Adams Shampoo most of the time on my wheels. Also I don't let brake dust build up either. Me too. I use pre-mixed Adam's Shampoo in a foaming sprayer. The foam sticks nicely to help remove the grime.
duramaxsky
I use it on the clear coated machined aluminum wheels on the Malibu. I just use all purpose on the chrome alloys on the Sky and truck as I buy that in gallon size. I think both do a better job cleaning the barrels than the car shampoo. Kingsford
I have 2 Bottles of GWC... One is 100% GWC and the other is about 50-75% GWC and the rest is water. Saves on product and still gets the job done when there isnt too much to clean.
Team Adam's
Use whatever it takes to get the job done... if its just a weekly maintenance wash a little soap and water will generally do the job. Its those times where you have a lot of brake dust buildup that the GWC makes more sense. Now if you have a car that has very dusty factory brakes (BMW for example) using GWC every time will definitely make things easier. I swear BMW wheels turn black if you just back out of the driveway and tap your brakes.
whiterp199
I only use soap and water. With the GWC reserved for super soiled wheels.
BespokeCar
If you wax your wheels, cleanup is much easier next time. For the ultimate, clay your wheels too.
