Super VRT almost maimed me!!!

Guest Uncle Jesse

Question

Guest Uncle Jesse

I was loading a mattres and boxspring into my truck yesterday morning to bring back from Florida. I had the mattres on the bottom so i could squish it between the wheel-wells. I was standiong on the bedrail cover that i had so lovingly detailed with the Adams Super VRT a few days before, and before i could think, my foot slid off, the right foot flailed and slipped off and i went literally head over heels over the side and landed on my back on the in-laws driveway! Caught myself partially with the hand and elbow.. didn't hit my noggin on the ground luckily....

Just a warning, that stuff can make it slick!! But it does look nice and clean right now...

I'm not sure about Super VRT yet. Used it on some of the black plastic panels on bike and it seemed to go on "bloachy" (sp). Does it need to be buffed after? Also very hard not to get on painted sufaces but, then again it seems to wipe off without any paint issues.

Update: Well, my left wrist has not stopped hurting since the fall, so last week i went to the doctor.. turns out i have pulled some tendons in my wrist from the fall. Now, i have to go see an orthopedic specialist! Be careful out there guys!

i like to put it on my motorcycle tires....just sayin lol jp

If you actually do this, best to use a rag that was used to buff off excess... SVRT CAN sling up onto the face of the tire and cause MAJOR issues...

Indeed... but the truck looks great! I didn't get too hurt, mostly the prides, as i fell in front of my wife and mother-in-law... got some pretty low scores, as i wasn't able to stick the dismount at all. The Swiss judge is really harsh...lol..

When I detailed my wife's RDX, I was standing on a stool, doing the roof with BW, section by section. I lean over to apply it on a new BW and put my hand on a finished section with a MF towel underneath so I wouldn't handprint it.

It was so slippery the MF towel and my hand went shooting off to the right and my chest hit the top of the door where it meets the roof.

The sacrifices we make to keep our cars looking awesome.... :willy:

I did our whole boat with SVRT and my brother drove it to the dock after putting it in the water. Later that night he was sitting on a plastic chair and slipped off. His shorts had SVRT on them... lol
