Team Adam's
I was sharing this info with Mook yesterday and thought maybe others might find it interesting, especially if they're looking for a way to get some outdoor exercise. For years I ran competitively, I started as a freshman in HS and it just fit... and I was good at it. 4 years of varsity, multiple state awards, all state team, and records set. I continued on after HS and even as recently as a couple years ago (when Tanner was still smaller) I could put him in the jogging stroller early in the morning and take off for a 6-8 mile run thru the hills. Being in good physical shape is important to me, but sadly the many years and many miles have taken a huge tole on my knees and my back. Lots of basketball probably didn't help matters either. So the last year I've struggled with finding something to keep myself active... I've forced my body thru the morning runs and paid the price. I'd take up biking, but its just cost prohibitive at this point (I'm one of those guys that if I get into something I go overboard and could probably spend tens of thousands of dollars getting in to cycling) I love the ocean, surfing, swimming, paddle boarding... but being a 40 minute drive to the water makes it a less than ideal option for a daily morning work out. Then I stumbled across this:
<a href="http://vimeo.com/23576003'>http://vimeo.com/23576003">Kahuna Creations: The Kahuna Blade™ from Kahuna Creations on Vimeo.
Really a great solution for me... we have hundreds of miles of well groomed jogging and bike paths around here with nice varied terrain. I already own (and love) my 48" Arbor Bamboo longboard, no/low impact on my body, but still plenty of work out... so my Kahuna Blade arrives tomorrow and I'm excited to go for my first official land paddle. MichiganSRT8
Man thats crazy you put that up, cause when i went to Maui this winter we went all around the island, road to hana, lahaina and a bunch of other places. north shore was also awesome, I actually saw someone with something like this heading down to the shore, at first I though it was a paddle but I saw it had no blade. I don't think it was this exact one but they were on a longboard with a big stick like that. I also guess its also a Michigan State thing, cause kids longboard all around state, I see at least 20 a day in my maybe 10 min walks, no one with poles but those wouldnt fit well in a classroom very well haha. Team Adam's
T....what ever happened to just using bicycles? I'd like to get into cycling or mountain biking, but its not exactly cheap if you really want to get into it. This is something where I already had the long board, and for $120 I could get the paddle.

Cali kid, born and raised so I've been on skateboards since I could stand up, but I'm sure at some point I'm gonna be hauling butt downhill somewhere and get wobbly and end up eating it. Team Adam's
Woohoo! Its here... Just took a quick lap around the block and its a blast... the paddle is super light, the 'axe' on the end has tons of grip for push off and stopping. Took almost no thought at all to get on and go... and you can really get flying!! Can't wait to go for a long ride this evening. Should also mention.... made right here in the good ole' US of A! THE Mook
DYLAN MAN! That is killer! Looks just like you described to me, and looks also like something you are gonna have a TON of fun on! Imagine having Daddy do that whilst Tanner motors around on his bike or go cart or whatever you have for him! Mook
