Machine super sealant?

BRAVO29ER

Question

Ok...so I just finished two days worth of paint correction. I got my paint to look about 90% flawless...except for scratches under the clear coat. Not sure how I would go about getting those out...but I'm happy with it. Anyways I put MACHINE SUPER SEALANT on last night about midnight and let it haze and dry for 30 mins, then wiped it down. So I'm letting it cure and I just checked it...it's been about 9 hours and it hasn't hazed over. Will it start to haze after the 12-24 hours or should it be hazing a little now?

THANKS IN ADVANCE! :)

No it only hazes when first applied. If you wiped it down 30 minutes after installation it is good. It does not rehaze after 12/24 hours. You are good to add whatever additional coats of product you want to apply. Brilliant glaze then one of the waxes will give you a real great looking vehicle.

Ok thank you. I was worried because right before I put the MSS down I sprayed the pad with a quick shot of detail spray... I was used to doing it during the polishing stage. I stopped after that first pass and continued to lay down a thin layer over the car.

I hope that didn't affect the sealant or did it?

No it shouldn't affect it at all. I always spray my pads with a quick shot of Qick Detailer before I start using any product, but after the initial shot of Quick Detailer, I normally don't reapply it until I change pads, or I see the pad is drying out, but normally that doesn't occur. Hope this helps.

Awesome...thank you again. I was under the assumption that you spray quick detail every time you put product on the pad. I put it on a lot but sometimes i didnt because the pad was moist already.

Thanks again...your reply so fast that i ran out and worked on the car without saying thank you.

If I remember correctly Adam and Dylan say that it MIGHT haze again after 12 hours or so. Be prepared to wipe it down again. I don't think it always will haze again because there's too many variables - thickness, time, temp, humidity, etc.

No problem, just hope you are really happy with the results you are seeing. Just for a point of reference, I have never had the Machine Super Sealant (or Machince Super Wax before it was a sealant) haze a 2nd time after I buffed it, and I've used it for a few years now.

BINGO! It doesn't always haze again... and usually its only noticable on darker colors. The secondary hazing isn't like the first one where you see an obvious coating, its more of a cloudy residue that shows up here and there.

If you don't see it don't worry about it, if you do at least you'll know what you're looking at :)
