JunkmansHomeboy
I am wanting to prep my Z for winter. It had a complete paint restore when I first purchased it but nothing since. The paint isn't in bad shape at all. I don't want to use something very aggressive Because I don't feel like the paints condition warrants it. What's the least aggressive product I can use that will still remove imperfections In the paint?
0 egott_91
Do you have a machine or will this be by hand? The least aggressive is Fine Machine Polish. If that does work, next up is Swirl and Haze.
0 Chris@Adams
If your paint is in decent condition I would go over it with FMP & White pad!
0 Kingsford
I just buffed my truck and to be completely honest its been over a year since I last did it and all I did was hit it with 1 pass of SHR and then 2-3 passes of FMP and it looked perfect! Then I just went over it with 2 coats of MSS and 2 coats of Americana for winter.

What's the least aggressive product I can use that will still remove imperfections In the paint? How long ago did you purchase it and what was the paint restoration process? This car was corrected in July of 2011, waxed again in October of 2011 and nothing but two bucket washes since. The paint was still in good condition, so other than addressing a few individual scratches/marks it took nothing more than one pass of FMP with the Flex. 0 JunkmansHomeboy
Thanks for the replies. The car is about a year and a half old. The old process Was clay, swirl and haze remover, fine machine polish and then sealant. The car has always had two bucket washes and has been well taken care of. The car Is a daily driver for me but I only work a few miles from home so it's got less Than 6k miles. I think I'll hit it with the fine machine and white pad as suggested. I don't think it will require anymore than that. I couldn't see any swirls today looking at it In the sun but it is white and I have a hard time catching all the flaws with white.
