GlossAngeles
I finally got my wheels exactly where I wanted. They weren't in extremely terrible shape but I have a ton of hours into them. They are BBS RC090, originally came on older BMWs. Here is what they looked like when I got them: As you can see I had to get a redrill to get these wheels to fit like I wanted, since they are already 17x8 ET20 and adapters would push them out too far. Quickly split the wheels and stripped the paint off of the lips and the bolts to give them a nice polish. Some rash that took a bit of work to get out. Hubcentric rings to get the wheels to seat perfectly. Polished all 136 bolts by putting the threaded end into a drill and steel wool to get the rust off, then again with a microfiber and some metal polish. Looking good Looking much better than before! Polished BBS caps added AS you may notice the center roundel does not perfectly match the face of the wheel, the PO tried to color match it and it came out meh. So after a while of driving with them like this I decided to respray them in a slightly darker silver. Primer Paint Gloss black barrels All mounted up looking much better Finally I got some polished hex caps that are from a lincoln continental, fit perfectly and hold the bbs cap as well, they really take the wheels to another level. All done! Thanks for looking! A ton of work was put into this and I love the outcome that I was able to get. In all these wheels cost less that a thousand from buying the wheels to getting them to this point today.
Fat Mike
WOW is right. You did a great job. Excellent attention to even the small details! I have polished a lot of metal including aluminum wheels and you can be very proud of those!

07RS4
Ian, amazing job man! That's some dedication right there. From taking out all those bolts, to polishing the bolts, re-spray, and doing the barrels of the wheels! You should feel pretty proud about that turn-around! Awesome! BTW...the wheels look great on the car:2thumbs:
