THE Mook
Morning! This is a couple weeks late, but well, I am that busy. Nick and I flew out to St. Paul/Minneapolis to work this show. It was a bit scary. We lost our booth the first night, and the second night, the block we were originally on, well, the rest of the vendors blew away. Thankfully, we were able to be moved inside. You know that means we didn't have nearly as successful of a show as we would have had we been outside, and been allowed to bring cars into our booth. Take a look at the pics of our booth after the first round of storms came through. We were tied down very well too. Lots of stuff lost. After that, onto the cars! blcksilv08
Nice group of cars at the show, variety. Three things jumped out 1. Hopefully those towels were not used on anything but one of the rat rods, 2. The slam factor of the 49 merc, 3. Is that apache covered by linex?...thanks for sharing and sucks about the display Hot_Wheel
JBlack151
I remember those FB updates you posted from that weekend. Didn't sound fun at all. All in all looked like a great turnout of rods and classics. And thanks for teasing me with those custom rod wagons! I want one.
Schwag one
Wow sorry to hear about the misfortune. At least the detail spray didn't blow over!
Team Adam's
Those towels were unfortunately placed right behind the red Impala immediately after the towel pic. Edited July 22, 2013 by Nick@Adams
eric@thompsonracing.us
Sorry to see the booth got beat up. Bad weather is never fun and those tents are expensive! Good to see a nice group of cars! I recognize the Erodz twin turbo car from Garage Forum!
Hot_Wheel
I was also shuddering about the towels.... Hey... Ding & Dent sale?
THE Mook
Our booth was covered in a tent with walls and tied down. I need to re-iterate that. The winds get over 50mph, and you can kiss a lot of tents goodbye! The rain was hurricanic. That's right. The cars represented above are only 150-200 of the TWELVE THOUSAND that were there. So I hear. I don't know of Nick and I could have shot all of that if all we were doing was snapping pics!
blcksilv08
Those towels were unfortunately placed right behind the red Impala immediately after the towel pic. That would have been a perfect time to show them how awesome a great white is and find another place for towels.
RonBoy
I was also shuddering about the towels.... Hey... Ding & Dent sale? I picked up a few cans of AQS at a savings at the show. It was nice to meet Mook & Nick in person, with the weather challenges it wasn't the best show ever for everyone involved. Saw a out 1/3rd of the cars last weekend at the Car Craft Summer Nationals in same location. THE Mook
Rich
That resembles the 2007 storm at Corvettes at Carlisle. Straight line winds came through and tore the place up bad. As long as nobody was hurt, then that's all that's really important. Although it did suck that you couldn't stay outside. What great cars. That's one show I would have loved to have seen. Sometimes I envy you! Sometimes.
