Pad and Polish Recommendations

jennecarter

Question

I haven't bought any new pads or polish/compounds in a few years and it's getting to be about that time.

I have a PC 7424XP with 4" and 5.5" backings.

In the past, I have used Optimum Compound/Polish/Poly-Seal with various pads. I usually like to have a few for light to medium duty polishing with one or two for heavy duty polishing and sealant application.

What kind of fairly inexpensive yet high-quality pads and polish/compounds are people using these days?

Since Chris posted the 7" pads, and you use 5.5" pads, look into the Uber Foam pads from Phil @ Detailers Domain, the Adam's orange/white polishes are a good combo however, and if you have nothing on your shelf now they should be able to tackle most all the correction you'll need.

I also use another brand on my shelf but the cost is similar,

if you want to use the orange MF cutting pads Adam's sells but need them in 5.5" they are also sold elsewhere as well.  The MF cutting pads are great for a bit more cut than foam, but an awesome finish.
