stingrayc7
Few days ago I have decided to do a weekend project, strip wash, clay, glaze and wax and thought about using the yellow hex grip applicator to apply the buttery wax, I ordered the applicator some time in 2015 and it stayed in storage for a while and almost forgot about it, but I found it where I keep my new towels and I was disappointed to see it look like this... Any idea what may have caused this? as my other red and blue hex grips look just fine although they've been used few times but this one is new! Chris@Adams
I hate to say this but could it have been mice? Thoughts?
Kingsford
I have a ton of Hex Grips and that has never happened. Leaning toward what Chris said. Looks like somethings been nippling. Was it climate controlled storage or like outdoor storage sheds? Edited February 16, 2016 by Kingsford

mc2hill
Mildew? Could it have gotten wet? Maybe this^^ Could it have been damp when it was put away?
stripesace
Something's eaten away at it. The only time I've seen something like this on a hex grip is when someone used it with Glass Sealant. This looks more mechanical in nature (ie. mice, etc.)
sahls01gmc
I'm 99% sure it's from a mouse. The other 1% in question is relying on the fact I haven't seen the mouse in person. LT1xL82 and Odds and Ends
Ricky Bobby
Mouse or chipmunk. If that is stored dry it's not a defect

LT1xL82
Someday you'll find a mouse house with a nice fluffy yellow interior! (Man I hate those dirty little creatures!) StubStang
ccommodari
Did you accidentally get it mixed in with your washing machine? This happened to me about 1 week ago And the washing machine did the same thing to the applicator as shown in the picture. So bad that I had to throw it away. I was really bummed
stingrayc7
Thanks for the inputs guys, It was brand new and never used, put it in a plastic bag when I received my order and then in a large duffel bag with my brand new towels, in my room. It's still a mystery! ccommodari
