Question

Got home from dinner and did a quick Foam Gun Wash with Adams Red Throwback Car Shampoo. I haven't touched either DD's for two weeks and the dirt fell right off.  Dried with Detail spray and great white drying towel.... they look wet in the dark. took only 30 min start to finish... part of the Adams appeal easy care...

Wait so you just sprayed it with the foam gun then rinsed and it looks that good?!!?!?!??

yeah... I was surprised too...  I'm sure I missed a few spots but touched them up the following day.  I think the foam gun does a good job of lifting dirt and then blasting with a rinse, and detail spray drying you can't go wrong.

oh and there is something special about the Red Car Shampoo... always leaves the cars perfect...

If I'm reading this correctly, this is basically a touchless wash using Car Shampoo followed by a towel dry aided by Detail Spray. That would be definitely be seriously pushing the limits of the intended use of those products.

Touchless washing, unless done with harsh chemicals, often leaves paint with a dirty film and hence the surface is not ready to be towel dried...Detail Spray or not.

Works great... I live in So Cal and don't get much on the cars... If they do get grimey I certainly wash them. Otherwise lots of foam and detail spray... Works great.. Or I also prefer Rinseless wash diluted each weekend... Also these are DDs... still no swirls to be found!

We definitely deal with the results of very different climates when it comes to car care. I'm jealous!

All it's done up near us this year is rain/snow. Very short return on washing right now

I was thinking of doing it just to get the pollen off the car. Washed the car on Sunday and it's now yellow.

yep agreed,  I don't like to waterless when there is so much dirt in the air..but tonight I used the sidekick and waterless washed and no worries... That is the great thing about Adams, there are so many options and ways to keep your car clean!

Oh yeah... I know what you are going through.  I tried to wash my car regularly when I lived in Saratoga, and NH.  Between snow rain mud season, bugs and pollen you are certainly challenged.

Agreed. I would strongly advise against touchless washing followed by towel drying. It's guaranteed paint damage.

In fact, I would urge you to flip that scenario and say touch wash followed by touchless dry (Master Blaster works great here).

Got the foam gun out, 10:30 pm night wash, my neighbors must think I'm carrazy lol, more amusing myself. Went over to my dads washed up his whip from his long road trip down south, I didn't want to let the bug juices to set in so down the road I went, spent a few hours on it, and now here I be. Another one for the books.
