Plastidip Wheels

5.3Ecotec

Question

So I have been using Nanoskin non acid wheel cleaner and VRP from CG on the tires and rims themselves. However I developed water spot  white discoloration on the rim itself. Anyone have any luck with current products to remove or eliminate? I have been currently hiding with the application of water based dressing and want to avoid re dipping them.

The "water spots" is actually the finish getting faded.  Using dressing is in fact the only way to get rid of this and make the dips color come back to life.  The other way is to buy a different brand of dip.  I sprayed my wheels with Halo's brand of spray can dip.  It leaves a much glossier sheen without dressing.  Of course they look even more glossy when I wipe them down with Adams tire shine.  Ive had my wheels dipped with halo for over a year and no issues, fading or white spotting.
