Aadam's Water Spot Remover

I failed to read the instructions on the Adam's water spot remover.  The first sentence of the instructions clearly states to not apply it full strength directly to glass.  Unfortunately, I did do that.  Where it hit the glass, there are light spots on the windows.  It's as if there was a coating on the windows and it's removed it.  Is there any way to remove these light colored areas?  Thanks in advance for the help.  I don't know if it mattes but the car is a 2019 Mercedes S65 AMG.

Try some compound or polish and see if that helps.

Glass is really hard compared to clear coat, even a Mercedes clear! And given that the Water Spot Remover has a couple of acids, unfortunately, I would guess it's permanently etched and likely can't be fixed even if you try glass polish (which Adam's doesn't sell, at least at this time). Not saying you can't try but don't get your hopes up. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, I hope I'm wrong...

According to how deep the etching is you may be able to reduce it with some on #0000 steel wool if the compound and polishing doesn't work.

Thanks for all of the suggestions.  I have tried glass polish to no avail.  I will try the steel wool.

Which glass polish? You would need to try a glass polish with cerium oxide and a rayon pad.  But it is a lot of work to polish glass and a rotary would be the tool of choice to use.
