Post up your INTERIOR details!

Rich

Question

Everyone keeps posting up pics of their exterior details.

Let's make this thread about the interior detail work we all do..........or am I the only one who details the interior?

First thing I do to detail the interior is to vaccuum everything, including taking out all of the floor mats and getting in under the seats, the seats, the air conditioning vents and even the roof (hair, etc gets up there too) and don't forget the sun visors. Next is the windows. Gotta get them nice and clean and shiney with the Adam's glass cleaner and glass cloth. Both of my vehicles have leather seats, so everything gets a good cleaning with the Leather Cleaner (gotta love that new car smell) and then two coats of Leather Conditioner. I always do two coats because I just think it works better and looks better with two coats. I even do the steering wheel, shift boot, door panels, console and dash with these two products.

I put the product onto the micro first, rather than onto the surface. Everything else I just hit with VRT on a micro and wipe down, except for the AC vents. Those I spray the VRT onto a q tip and wipe each vent slot.

I'm always happy with the results, and get lots of compliments. :2thumbs:

Here's mine after I finally got to use Adam's on the interior. This was the first time I used only Adam's to detail my interior.

First I vacuumed everything. Then all glass was cleaned with Adam's glass cleaner and then coated with some BSG. All leather, plastic and vinyl were cleaned with Adam's leather and interior cleaner; then I followed up with Adam's leather conditioner. Lastly I lightly cleaned the carpets with Adam's carpet cleaner and interior brush.

Sorry there are no before pics because my car doesn't usually get more than some dust and junk on the floor mats. But still amazing results, it looks better than new. Enjoy.

Gerry yours looks Amazing! Is that real leather? I have pleather.

yeah, but they aren't the original seats, and people rarely sit in the passenger seat that's why it looks better :lolsmack:

I love the blend of grey tones you have in your mustang, what year is it?

It's an 04 40th anniversary edition with the premium "leather" interior package. Did you notice how my gauge cluster cover is a different color than everything else. I needed some extra gauges put in so I got this piece and had the shop that was installing it paint it to match. As you can see they were a little off.

I actually didn't notice that until you just mentioned it...I bet it drives you nuts :willy:

The center console door on the vette was replaced, but I could only find it in 'light saddle' (1984-1987) so I got the color-correct cushion to go on top of it. You can tell the door itself under the cushion is lighter than everything else...drives me nuts too.
