So I got bit by the detailing bug today, and decided to apply some Americana to the daily driver. Don't get me wrong here I am not a whiner. In fact I think Adams products are the best in the world. Ok so now that I've buttered you all up, heres the stupid ?. Am I the only one who finds it difficult to get the cap on and off the round Americana container? I really have a hard time with it, I cant grip the round container because it is so slick from the great product inside, and also I seem to crossthread the lid. anyone else? Or am I just a Weenie?

I'm glad to see this thread. I thought I was the only one having a difficult time removing the Americana lid. I sent Ashley an e-mail about 5 or 6 months ago about the problem and she responded that she had never heard of the difficulty opening the Americana. I keep struggling with the lid each time I remove it. Actually, the struggle to remove the lid almost makes Americana too much trouble to use. I have a second container that I haven't opened yet and I hope that it is not not as difficult to open as the first.

I Think maybe I just got a warped jar or something. After it hasnt been used for a while I have actually had to pry the lid with a screw driver.

 

WOW, my still opens easy just closing it just cross threads a little, but it does seal.

I find it difficult to get the lid off as well... but only because it's been 30 degrees and raining here for the last --- eternity.

I have never had a problem getting the lid off or back on but I have muscles.:jester:

Nah, just kidding... it could be the plastic is a bit warped or something. I've seen that happen with various jars from time to time.
