0 Adam
Depends entirely on how dirty your car is, and how much pressure is in the hose you are using to blast it off. Lots of pressure, not driving in snow, mud, or salt? One bucket is plenty. Live on a 3-mile long dirt road? Driving in the snow, mud, rain, often? Waiting 3 weeks to wash the vehicle? Absolutely. My $0.02.

0 Doug123
Yup. I would say the other qualifier is - do you own a black car? If it's black, 2 bucket wash..

0 ArmyAcadia09
I spray my wash mitt down real good each time before putting it bucket so I get all that stuff off and whatever remains is taken care of by grit guard.
0 livingwater
Although it's rarely dirty...I always use two buckets when I wash my vette
0 Team Adam's
an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of pain (or 100 millions swirls)
0 Doug123
Look, a bucket full of potential swirl monsters, just waiting to do their dirty work. Edited February 19, 2010 by Doug123

0 mcss383
Yeah, the 2 bucket method is awesome. But I do have to agree with Adam, it isn't always necessary. I almost never use the two bucket when washing the vette because it never gets driven in the rain and 90% of the dirt is dust that gets blown off with the first rinse. Still use the foam gun though. I will use a second bucket just for the wheels since they are always nasty...
