Rich Posted September 29, 2010 Share Posted September 29, 2010 Last year, we planned on vacation the week after Labor Day and headed to the beach. Guess what? Rained every blessed day. Corvettes at Carlisle last year.......nothing but rain. Just about every car show this year..........rain. Now we're leaving for the shore on Thursday for a festival and getaway and what are they calling for? You got it ............ RAIN! And not just your normal rain......tropical storm Nicole! SOB!! We are getting three inches of rain here today and a little south of me they are getting upwards of 5 to 6. I can't win! Like clockwork, it always likes to rain after I finish washing my or my brother's vehicle, so I DEFINITELY feel your pain! Rich Posted October 3, 2010 Author Share Posted October 3, 2010 Well, we bugged out on Wednesday to avoid driving in that rain Thursday. It rained just a little on the way down between Easton and Cambridge. Not a lot, jsut enough to get the car dirty. So how much rain did we get in OC? NOTHING! That whole storm moved inland and we had a fantastic 5 days. Not the warmest, but no rain. And good hotels, so all in all it was a good trip. Friday we spent the day at the Winefest and got pretty close to smashed just on samples. Saturday was harbor day at the docks and blessing of the fleet. Very impressive. Dignitaries tossed a wreath from a Coast Guard Vessel and a live lobster was very unceremoniously thrown back into the ocean. The rest of the time we ate from one end of town to another.
