For the first time, I think I have a real "problem", have I gone too far

stirthepot

Question

OK, so I'm a pretty OCD detailer.  I have tons of Adam's products and for me its like therapy keeping my cars perfect.  But did I go too far today?

I like all the stuff related to my detailing regimen clean and today I put Gloss and Guard on my buckets  my bucket dollies.  I have the red, blue and black combo for dollies and they always look spotty, NOT anymore.  GG made them look awesome!

Have I gone to far?   And, Apologies in advance to anyone that now feels compelled to do this to their buckets / dollies.

I don't think that's going too far.  But this is coming from a guy who rinses and dries off his bottles of Adam's products before returning them to their rightful place in the "Adam's Only" cabinet after each use.   ;)

You’re asking us? A group that has been known to SVRT their mailboxes and shutters? Guys and gals that have sealed their shower stall and patio glass doors? Some of whom have been known to taste the products to see if the scent and taste match? People that have polished and sealed their appliances?

Dude! You fit right in! Pull up a chair and have an internet beer with us. ;)

I would say you are in a perfectly normal position, Then again normal is just a setting on a dryer.

Remember, Adam has detailed a grill, and if I remember correctly stated that he details his lawnmower. I personally know folks that detail their lawnmowers regularly.

My mower is in line for a thorough cleaning at the end of the season each year.  I'll submit pics when it's done this year.

Is four coats of wax to much, only if you you could see your self with three! Never too much detailing, especially if you are a Virgo!

I understand this is said with some humor, but it's important to note there is a point of diminishing returns with multiple coats of waxes, as well as glazes and sealants. At some point...about 2 coats...the benefit both in protection and shine will zero out. You may even lose some shine since you'll eventually simply be smearing around the coats underneath vs. enhancing the paint.
