How can I fix these wheels?
red94chev replied to rrpalma's question in Wheels, Tires, Trim, & Undercarriage
This is pretty typical for GM wheels, I see it often on the clear coated wheels. -

Yes, I have been using them mixed together in the wash cycle. I think I will rewash them like you say and see what happens.- 65 replies

FAQ: "How do I take care of my microfiber towels?"
red94chev replied to Team Adam's's topic in The Adam's Detailing Library
Having a little issue here that's been going on for a while. I washed a load this weekend mostly double softs and various color edgeless towels, some single softs, and a few glass towels. These towels were fairly clean, mainly detail spray wipedowns and H2OGG applications. (Most of these towels have been used less than 5 times, no really dirty jobs, fairly fresh) Ran a cleaning cycle in the washer with 2 oz distilled vinegar. Then washed all the towels together with about 1.5 oz of Microfiber Revitalizer and 1.5 oz of vinegar. I pull them out and they look nice and clean. Then i throw them in the dryer on the light heat cycle, no fabric softener or anything. Then I washed the truck, dried truck with large grey plush towel (another company), all is fine. Pull out an orange edgeless towel to match my new pumpkin detail spray, and its leaving a noticeable trail of lint behind it. Now all these towels are in great condition and washed the same every time but I've been getting this lint for a few washes now. I don't believe that the towels are going bad. Is it possible that they are picking up lint from the dryer? (I don't clean it out or anything, just empty the lint tray with the screen) I'm planning on doing a wash soon and hanging them to dry that way to see what happens but what are your thoughts?- 65 replies

The detail spray scent is good, I wouldn't want to use it all year though. The pumpkin spice air freshener smells amazing though. It is the smell I was imagining the detail spray to be.

Anyone got the Pumpkin spice yet?
red94chev replied to pirahnah3's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Just ordered 2 bottles. I'm excited lol -
Line X looks good, I love mine. I actually got my boss to pay for mine in return for detailing his 2 cars. I love rich people!

Paint Correction on my bagged C1500

Thats a fullsize Burninator. People ask if mine is an S-10 all the time lol -
Big shed for me. It houses 2 tractors, 2 four wheelers, and all kinds of other stuff that doesn't need to be close to my trucks.

Who is this Jeff you speak of lol. Yeah, quite the scene. Hopefully I can keep the water out this weekend until it can be repaired. Insurance is moving quickly thankfully.

I just have to laugh at it also. Long story short, he is a terrible mechanic (despite all of his stories about cars he fixed back in his professional days). His garage is just a short distance up the hill from the side of my house. He decided to take the shifter cable off his transmission (on a hill) and bumped the car into neutral and off it went (no wheel chocks, claimed the parking brake was on). I saw the whole thing from the lawnmower, quite a scene watching him run after it lol.

I find this hurricane funny because my neighbor accidentally crashed his car through my basement the other day resulting in a less than waterproof house. What really are the odds that there would be a hurricane this week? Hopefully its somewhat dying out if it makes it here.

Awesome story, it must be a dream come true to work for a company you've supported for so long. If you need employees for Adams East Coast, let me know haha. I'm about an hour and a half south of Carlisle.

Yep, they are the same density but a different color if I remember correctly.

Polish exhaust tip?
red94chev replied to chops1sc's question in Wheels, Tires, Trim, & Undercarriage
Honestly, I would just cut it back a little and put a stainless clamp on tip on it. They can be had for pretty cheap and you can actually polish stainless. -
Full Adams Treatment before the Camaro Car Show

^ Same. That thing would be gone real fast. I think the engine cover would look great color matched also. Love that shade of red on that car. -
The Next AIR FRESHENER!
red94chev replied to Matt@Adams's topic in Product Polls, Feedback, and Company Input
I like this idea. The current A logo freshener with different scents and the corresponding color. Really interested in a leather conditioner one. -
How much do your rotors rust when washing?
red94chev replied to marquez93's question in Wheels, Tires, Trim, & Undercarriage
My blue truck has EBC rotors which are great (barely any rust). My red truck has Powerstop rotors which are terrible, they'll drip rusty water from the middle part of the rotor for a half an hour. -
Well, at least it only happened because he managed to get away and I assume the owners couldn't find him. Hes not a victim of animal cruelty but I bet he was exhausted.

I loved Adam's face when claying the rear lower quarter panel. Priceless. Great video though for the average car/daily driver and even a beginner detailer.
