  1. 300 a month?! I've been driving 400 a week for 6 years now, needless to say, I have to clean my windows a lot. I've been loving the Glass Boost lately.
  2. I love the strip wash and haven't had any problems when I use it. I only use it in the shade though because it does dry fairly quick. I think you may be experiencing the soap drying and holding the dirt on the paint. Before you rinse, try running around the car with your wash mitt to "reactivate" the soap so it'll rinse off.
  3. I agree, no detailing product is going to "fix" that and it'll be difficult to hide.
  4. I'm gonna end up getting that brush for my old box trailer, not sure about the new interior detailer though. I'm allergic to Eucalyptus and even though I doubt it has any, I'm not really willing to chance it. The clay mitt looks nice for some of the nasty cars I get in.
  5. I have a bunch of old empty bottles that I don't need. I figured I would offer them up before I toss them. They're free if you cover shipping.
  6. I keep a grey sealant pad just for buttery wax. It puts a thin coat on fast and easy.
  7. Looks good! Make sure you add some paint sealant or at least a coat of wax.
  8. I love the leather conditioner and the I don't mind the wheel cleaner at all, I must be insane!
  9. I highly recommend Wagner Thermoquiet pads. They make them for a lot of vehicles and they're cheap. Extremely low dust and they work great, they're almost the only pad I'll run anymore.
  10. I think as long as you can get it at least every 3 months, it shouldn't be a problem. That's probably about the least I'd like to put boost on to maintain the coating.
  11. I have polished directly over the leftover from correcting polish residue but I prefer to wipe it off and do a quick inspection before moving to the next step.
  12. I've been there a couple times, I either take the train or my girlfriends car (already beat up). You couldn't pay me to take one of my cars there.
  13. I'm thinking he meant SS wheels as in Super Sport wheels from the Trailblazer SS. A really common modification in the GM crowd. I would go with the Ceramic Wheel Coating.
  14. I've used a PLASTIC razor blade to just barely scrape the corner along the sticker before. Use minimal pressure and let the sticker edge guide the blade.
  15. Looks like it's comprised of everything they sell now so that means I don't have to buy it! I'm curious to see what type of sealant or coating is in the box though, if any at all.
  16. I was thinking more along the lines of the lawnmower but the toilet may not be a bad idea Thanks everyone!
  17. So this wasn't a crazy job but I coated my mom's new Equinox over the 3 day weekend. She's had the car for about 6 months and it has around 7k miles so its in great condition. Started off with a good wash on Friday night with Adam's strip wash followed by clay. The next morning, I did a quick debadge of the rear hatch and then hit the car with my Rupes 15 and Paint Finishing Polish. The paint had some really light swirls but nothing major. Prep and coating went well for my first time messing with a coating. I thought it would be a little more finicky but it layed down very nice. Hit it roughly 22 hours later with Ceramic Boost and boy was she shining. It left the metallic blue paint looking deep and glossy and so slick! I feel like I have about a half a bottle of coating left so now I'm planning on attacking a few things around the house. I didn't get any great pictures as it rained almost all weekend but I took a few, enjoy!
  18. Looks great! I just did my mom's car over the weekend too.
  19. APC - Used to get 5 gallons before TRC and Wheel Cleaner came out. Wheel Cleaner TRC Shampoo Wash and Wax TID LIC Upholstery Cleaner Detail Spray H2OGG Glass Cleaner UCS Most of these are still the first gallon jugs I bought. The only ones Ive repurchased are APC, WC, TRC, and CWS.
  20. Seems to make the grass grow stronger at my house.
  21. I've had the best luck with TRC but whatever that material is likes to hold dirt. Better than in the carpet though.
  22. I would definitely get a hex grip to try out. They're all I use anymore. I keep one for each product (buttery, paint sealant, one for exhaust tips and dirtier areas) to keep from cross contaminating.
  23. Don't need anymore sealant at this time but I've been waiting for a non-glove style merino mitt for a long time.
  24. I lost some bristles the first few times I used the new brush but it has since stopped. I also have a blue tire brush but the new one works better on some sidewalls. I like having both to choose from.
