  1. I've heard really good things about Lund Racing's tunes. I'm running a tune from BAMA who's a subsidiary or American Muscle. Its not bad but I've been debating on having JLT do one since they're local and can put the car on a Dyno to really get the tune dialed in. Going the email route, I had to go back and forth with a tuner tech for a week to get mine running right.
  2. I recently.made the switch. It soaks up enough suds to wash half a car.
  3. How is CM 10.2? I stopped running CyanogenMod when I got my S3 and started running Beans ROM because I actually like the TouchWiz features. I get my AOSP fix on my Nexus 7 still though.
  4. Be extremely careful with whatever you decide to try on the radiator. Those fins bend pretty easily. I would try soaking them in WW and rubbing them out with a toothbrush. Make sure the radiator is cool of course. You should be good just covering the alternator.
  5. Well I just walked back out and did another one over on their work. I found several more bumps in the clear. One spot that I found interesting looks like a bump but more from the paint bubbling before they applied the clear. You can't feel it running your finger over it and I could only see it in the fluorescent light...not with my LED bar or camera. Guess I'll be going back up to the shop tomorrow. Somewhat in their defense (a small somewhat), most of the spots are on the hood which they had to strip down to the metal and work back up. If they can't fix it then someone will be buying me a new hood.
  6. I've always just spot treated with APC and rinsed them really well. Out of the four I've used I haven't had issues with shedding except when I brush them out.
  7. So I just got my Mustang back today from the body shop after having the majority repainted due to rock chips. I asked them not to wash it and gave it a wash when I got home. I had to wet sand two spots with 2000 grit because they were bumpy. I talked to the shop manager and he agreed that if I couldn't get them fixed I could bring it back so no buggy. Anyways, they did buff it out some but is the norm for a shop to do a complete polish? Either way I'm going to end up doing a full correction but was just curious.
  8. +1. On the road noise, I actually just got some new carpet to put in and planned on getting some Dynomat to put in while I have everything out. I want to coat the entire undercarriage but have a few more mechanical issues to get removed first. I was grabbing some Plasti Dip at Lowe's the other day and Rustoleum has an undercarriage spray with sound deadening material mixed in but I haven't checked into it too much yet. I was hoping you had used something similar and could provide some feedback. The truck is coming together nicely. I would highly suggest throwing an aftermarket tune on there. I did with my Stang and man did it wake that thing up. I checked with my Ford dealer before doing it and even got the OK from the service manager that they would continue to honor my warranty unless they found that any issue stemmed explicitly from the tune.
  9. No just trying to "stir the pot" (see what I did there ) but true karma only applies to the next life.
  10. Grab the glass kit. I would also suggest grabbing some QS. personally I would skip the extra products and go with quality MF's from Adam's. I would rather not screw my paint up after polishing than to have some extra protecting on the glass and where you can't seal with MSS.
  11. What material did you go with. Thought about doing this with the S-10 to cut down on road noise.
  12. What are you detailing? I used maybe an ounce of each when I did my Mustang. Out of the 200g bar I managed to clay four cars, but two of them had never been done and were highly contaminated. My little brother also dropped a piece so it was dumped in the trash. I break mine into thirds.
  13. I meant the Interior cleaner by TIC. Momentary brain fart. I saw your post about the stuff you've just got in. Give me a few and I'll add if someone doesn't beat me to it.
  14. I've never seen anything suggesting DWC is not safe for all finishes. I would add the red pad for the polisher if you're going with BW for application vice doing it by hand. Depending how bad the interior is and what was used before I would suggest adding TIC to your list. I would highly suggest claying before polishing. You'll need more than one MF for the interior and exterior. I use a Great White Towel for drying, one for removing the clay residue, one for removing polish residue, one for removing MSS residue, and one for removing the BW residue. For the interior I would also suggest adding Adam's GC and glass MF as I can guarantee its the easiest window cleaner ever made and will result in a streak and lint free finish. If you plan to seal anything besides the paint (highly suggest windows) you'll need either QS or Glass Sealant. In all honesty my biggest suggestion would be to save the heartache and grab one of the Ultimate kits. I did to get me started and the only thing I really missed out on was the metal polishes. Of course since then I've added almost another grand to my collection.
  15. Why come out with an entirely new phone when you can slightly revamp an old one, change the name, and sell it with people coming out in masses to buy it?
  16. I've had it happen. Use some APC and it should come out.
  17. Not to mention the convenient spray straw for precision application. I've used regular chassis grease before but it looks like booty. Worked well though.
  18. Finally got started on my GF's new Explorer. Cleaned the wheels and wells up. Scrubbed all the trim with two parts water/one part APC mixed, the lug brush, and the fender brush. Did a strip wash with three oz of APC mixed in with the shampoo. Dried her off with some DS, a GWT, and my Sidekick. Finished the night off by claying the windows, sealing the front with Glass Sealant, and sealed the sides and back with QS. More to come tomorrow.
  19. I've never used an iPhone and have thought about giving it a go. The biggest issue I have with the iPhone is how locked down it is though. I like having choices out how my display is played out, what buttons do what, multi-window, being able to over clock and undervolt to have better control over battery usage, etc. The only thing that interests me about the iPhone is the fact that I've never used it.
  20. I feel like I missed a conversation somewhere.
