  1. I hate to thread jack or send it of course but I have a question. I have the stainless top on mine. Can that be polished out? cleaned off? I had a stainless steel cleaner spray or I'd use glass cleaner.

Maybe try MP 1 or MP2?

I would definitely use some APC and a fender brush on the top to deep clean it before trying MP1 or 2.

If I recall, they are a brushed finish. If you want a mirror like finish on it, you may need to wet sand the brushed finish first.

  2. We have about .004% of our customers using our goods in a professional setting. Hard to justify the premium price unless the Detailer is not charging a premium, and cheap products can be bought locally without planning or shipping.

MSDS sheets are extremely tough to read by anyone other than a chemist. Worse than a legalese contract!

MSDS sheets are typically requested by the following groups:

1- Insurance companies of car collectors where large quantities of our goods are stored.

    2- Our insurance companies

3- People wanting to knock-off our products

4- organizations wanting to knock-off our products

5- Shipping companies wanting to be sure the chemicals don't light up easily, and burn a truck or ship down.

We typically provide this information, however if the request comes dorm JoeBlow@gmail.com, we question the intentions of the requestor.

    Fair?

Add another to the list. My employer requires MSDS on every chemical that enters the building. I have had stuff shipped to work from Adams and I got a warning for shipping stuff without MSDS. So from now on, I paid more to have it shipped home.

I had a bottle of detail spray in my tool box, for personal use on said tool-box to keep it clean. When our HR reps went thru our departments and tool boxes looking for chemicals, they noted that a MSDS was not available and asked me to remove it from the building.

Now, Adam does state they are available. My employer stated it needed to be easily downloaded from the manufactuer's website. So, I removed it from the building.

  3. Tim,

go somewhat basic, but not overboard. If you have gallons, get some no name bottles, that will help reduce cost alot.

    I suggest

Green wheel cleaner and one wheel woolie depending on rims.

APC, Shampoo, 1 pad, 2 buckets, 1 grit guard, glass cleaner and 2 glass towels. 1 waterless wash towel for door jambs, and 1 drying towel.

You are around the corner from me, If you want some spare towels or need a little product to fill a sprayer, let me know.

  4. I made the trip to the museum Saturday morning on my drive home from Dallas. It was quite the experience to walk thru.

I really haven't seen pictures of the cars posted online with the exception of what the museum themselves have put out to the public. Does anyone know if we can post pictures of the recovered cars? I have some pictures we took. But don't want to get anyone in trouble for posting them.

  5. I look at it in a totally different light.  There are SO many great detailer here that offer up excellent, sound advice.  If the advice given is spot-on, then I typically don't chime in on top of it.

However, if there is some mis-information given on a product technique, then I will most definitely jump in.

Do you feel it would be more beneficial if I gave a "+1" to all of the good advice given here, to possibly add some credibility to a post?  If so, then I'll make it happen!

    Nick,

Doesn't even need to be a "+1" Simply "liking" their response shows agreement. When reading the forum, if a specific comment has a few "likes" I am much more inclined to believe it is good advise. It even shows who liked the post.
