  1. Welcome! I live in NH too, where are you located ? Nice Shelby, I know the feeling !
  2. God I hate that stuff, from a detailers perspective !! It works great to protect the front of the car but I buff out the customers car, and the 3M film just does not have them same clarity etc of the just perfected paint, Annoying !!
  3. I also see Adams products being used on "Bitchin Rides" on Velocity too !!

    Christmas

Nothing is better than a joke gift box !! Glad you got what you really wanted.
  5. Strange, never heard of it and I used it 40 50 times
  6. It is holding up with no issues whatsoever .In fact, I had it outside one night this past summer when I fished up a car and unplugged the water but left the unit plugged in the electrical outlet. My son had a bunch of his friends over and playing in the yard that night, I got up in the morning and someone had turned the power on and it was running all night with no water running through it ! Expecting the worse, I hooked up the water turned it on to see if it still worked, it did ! I have used it 20 or so times since then, still with no issues. I love the fact you pug it in, and turn it on, doesn't tip and is more than enough power to blast crap off from under wheel wells, undercarriages, wheels, etc, and perfect for a foam cannon. I do have a 3100 psi to do bigger jobs, but this is perfect for stuff around the house and cars as well. Bought one for the inlaws that are older and they use it all the time because of ease of use.
  7. I use a Ryobi from Home Depot. 1600 PSI, electric, sits on ground so no tipping, works awesome !!
  8. How about a scratch and sniff calendar of our favorite products !!
  9. Lets see some pics of your work !!
  10. ^ i'm with chops on this one, when they start to lint. You can make one last ditch effort to save them by boiling them with some vinegar on the stove, but some times there better off as utility towels.
  11. ^I'm with beemer on this one. All my daily driver customers get the same steps every time. Sealants bond to paint better than glazes or waxes do, so Paint correct first, then seal , then glaze, then wax, then ENJOY THE SHINE !!
  12. You might be able to "mask " over the fine scratches but the will return. Only way to remove would be a machine.
  13. I am getting ready to detail a Porsche Carrera with a 3M Clear Bra that covers the entire hood and both front quater panels. Anyone out there with any experience with detailing with this product ? Can I wax it, glaze it, buff it, clay it, OR just leave it alone ???? All input, if you have detailed with this product or have it installed on your car, would be appreciated !! Thanks
  14. What would you like/need for the VRT you have left ?
  15. I have a ton of them !!!
  16. I am usually at 6 as well on most cars. As far as what speed for what paint, it can vary,so test with the variable speed and keep the machine MOVING , you will know by the results you get when you make a pass or two. Start with the least aggressive polish first and work your way up. Its a one shot deal with old paint, so be careful no matter year it is. "Modern paint" also varies by manufactures and clear coat varies as well by year. Some hard, some soft, some water based paint, enamel paint, etc., I don't know if there's a modern chart out there as to what manufacture used what type of paint/clear coat by year and make of vehicle, but it would be helpful. I just start slow and easy on a panel, and take it from there.
  17. I took the same approach as I do with modern cars, being careful all the time !! All of these cars had repaints done during their restoration so they were all shot with modern clear coat so no issues. Old and original paint you have to be VERY careful with especially around edges, corners of panels, around trim, etc. You also tend to get a decent amount of paint left on the pads as well with older cars so slower speeds on the machine and small test spots are a good idea. Nothing worse than buzzin off a spot on a 50 year paint job !!
  18. I thought I would share with you some detailing I did on 9 cars to get them ready for the World of Wheels Show in Boston last weekend. All the cars were done exclusively with Adams products !! Clay bar, 2 step paint correction, Brilliant Glaze, Patriot Wax, Metal Polish 1 and 2, SVRT, Flex 3401 polisher, a ton of towels and 110 hours of work etc. were used to get these cars ready. Hers some pics.
