Hey Guys,
I put together a PDF file of what you have so far. You can check it out and I will update it if needed.
It is both in picture format and you can download the PDF file that is attached.

I will tell you another helpful tip......apply a coat of Adam's Quick Sealant on the front of your car and the bugs will even come off easier.

mc2hill reacted to -CM- in Masking tape reccommendations
I think this tape is the same as what Adam's sold. It has the same green plastic core.

Also, something that really helped me was the time spent doing the initial rinse. I used to do a quick rinse then start washing, now I spend a good amount of time getting as much dirt off as I can with rinsing first. Like mentioned earlier, 2 wash pads will also help, one for the top and one for the bottom. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much Jim!
Certainly is a gorgeous Corvette and I hope Adam is happy with what he sold it for.

Welcome Rex, and gorgeous car!
On the wheel brush subject, check with your local Adam's supplier on the "old" Boar's Hair wheel brush and the Wheel Woolies. If you don't have any luck there, Phil at Detailer's Domain shows the Adam's wheel brush (and one other Boar's hair wheel brush) and Wheel Woolies on his site - http://www.detailersdomain.com/Brushes_c_85.html.

mc2hill reacted to Gerding and Sons Detailing in Kwazar Sprayer Review
Correct - was just playing around with the decals since the Kwazars don't have logo or any other branding.
There was some method to the madness though. The reason I put the decals in different locations/angles was so that I could differentiate the bottles if I had a clear solution like the green wheel cleaner vs. carpet upholstery ... or even the glass cleaner vs the interior detail spray (both VERY similar light green color).
Don't worry - my OCD is just as bas as everyone else's around here - you should have seen me trying to put the decals on at EXCACTLY a 45 degree angle

mc2hill got a reaction from ArmyAcadia09 in Anyway to not have the Car Shampoo dry on every Wash?
When I do a regular 2 bucket wash in the warmer weather, I use this tip from Chris05GTO.
do the regular wash, and leave the shampoo on the car when you finish the car, clean the wash mitt on the Grit Guard again and reload it with shampoo rewash the car with the reloaded mitt. You may need to refoam the mitt to complete the car You can do this quickly as the car is already clean, you are really just reactivating the soap "Pool" rinse the car, and dry as usual -

Thanks George. I have been doing the Stair Master 3-4 days a week for about 1.5 years now. I lost 30 lbs., gained 10 back, now working on losing another 20.

mc2hill got a reaction from Richard Kashinsky in Which ones - Microfiber or foam pads?
It can vary from car to car. I would suggest 2 MF cutting pads, 2 Orange foam cutting pads, 2 White foam polishing pads. Even with a PC you can do some serious correction with a MF pad. You can finish either cutting pad with the foam polishing pads.
Why 2 different cutting pads? the least aggressive method first approach - no need to use a MF pad if a foam pad will to
Why 2 of each pad? It usually takes more than 1 pad to complete an entire car, and they take a day or so to dry when cleaned. Plus they can get dirty when touching trim, etc., or, heaven forbid, they fall on the ground!

You could try a more aggressive clay bar, but what you are doing is the best option.

mc2hill got a reaction from rwisejr in What goes better with your USA made nozzle? A USA made hose at Home Depot of course!
I have two of those and two of the Goodyear hoses that Sears sells. They have been outside for 3 years and still work fantastic! Granted we don't get the freezing temps that many of you do but they do get 90 degree heat for 6 months of the year.

mc2hill reacted to Bkodger in Metal polish never lets me down!
I have a polished piece that covers the radiator in my 2009 Dodge Charger. Because it is daily driven, it is subject to rain, mist, dew, etc. This, mixed with heat from engine and not always getting right to cleaning it up, I get etched in watermarks on it.
So it's time to pull out Adams metal polish #1 & #2 and get it cleaned it up, and cleaned up and looking great is definitely what it does!

Be careful with that, or you products will go missing!
DS for stainless steel (works on computer/TV screens too)
GC for windows, mirrors,TVs', computer screens, etc.
CUC for carpet stains
BG for lots of things
LIC & LC for furniture
and as you found APC for general cleaning

Biggest thing is honestly just to go slow and take your time. We can all sit here and give you advice about what to do for days, but until you go out there and experience it for yourself it won't matter. Take your time, have fun, enjoy your car and the process, and let us know how it goes!

mc2hill reacted to Gerding and Sons Detailing in Kwazar Sprayer Review
I just picked up the 3 pack and had a chance to use them for the first time this weekend. Here's my take:
- dual action spray and nozzle heads are unmatched in quality
- the adjustability of the nozzle is fantastic - fine mist to super strong direct spray
- I didn't find the bottles to be to large to handle
- the tube insert is long enough to have a couple of sprays while the bottle is upside down (like at 12 o'clock on the fender wells)
- I filled a couple bottles with detail spray and all-purpose cleaner to start with (not sure what my 3rd product would be at this point - perhaps waterless wash or green wheel cleaner ... high use product I use every time)
- the detail spray tested the fine mist functionality. Very light, thin spray pattern. Didn't drip down the vertical surfaces like some other sprayers do. I suspect I used less product than the normal spray head (no scientific test though). My microfiber seemed "less wet" than with the other sprayer nozzle.
- the all-purpose cleaner tested the direct stream spray functionality. I was able to fully coat the inside of the fender well very quickly. The spray also reached the "back" of the fender well without much effort. I was also able to saturate fender and tire brushes much more quickly. I used more all-purpose cleaner with the direct spray setting, but I'm OK with that if it is degreasing the target areas appropriately (and the cost factor is not as important as something like deep wheel cleaner)
- definitely faster
- definitely less hand fatigue
- obscure observation here in Colorado: because it was windy this weekend, these product bottles stayed upright sitting on the driveway surface because of the larger base circumference. My other traditional bottles blew over. Not a deal breaker by any means, but every little thing counts.
Couple of pictures attached of my pimped out Kwazars Adam's style.

mc2hill reacted to Team Adam's in Backordered items
Our Spring Sale cleared our shelves of DS and a few other items, MUCH more than we anticipated, and I apologize for the lack of email notifications regarding them.
We are working as quickly as possible to get backorder receipts sent out. The team has been working on them over the weekend to get notifications out to everyone.
The new website is nearing the end of testing, so once it's launched and ready to rock, I promise you all of these nagging issues will be gone and communicating things will be seamless.
Thanks for all for your support during the sale, and if anyone had any questions about their order, kick an email to orders@adamspolishes.com or give us a call. That will get you the fastest response.
