  1. You should always as good practice do an IPA wipe down after polishing anyway to give a clean and bare surface for sealant to bond too.
  2. How about "if you can smell my ride, it means your in my dust, smells good right?" Sort of like a Paul Walker racing RIP homage lol
  3. I just went with wheel woolies for now but I'll pick up a blonde brush down the line on a future order.
  4. Foam gun is ok, but you won't get those suds to stick like a true foam cannon does.
  5. Its not gonna happen with Adam's price structure, which actually gives you a lot of value at gallon refills if you use a lot of product. They would have to change the price of the gallons higher to make a 1/2 gallon $25, a gallon of Detail Spray would have to be $50 at least. At $25 for a half gallon that is the cost of 2 - 16 oz. bottles ($13 each). Which is the same multiplication now more or less, when you do the 16 oz. to 1 gallon price point, as the pricing structure is about 3.5 to 4 of the 16 oz. bottles gets you 1 gallon of product, which is a great value IMO. Don't forget forum discount at 10%, sometimes more if there are special promotions, so your $45 for a gallon just became $40. Or if you really just don't want the big jug, you can get 2 of the 16 oz bottles for $23. Why not buy a gallon and the 32 oz. sprayer I mentioned earlier in the thread and you can fill up a 32 oz bottle a couple times and sell the rest of the gallon to a friend or forum member.
  6. Would leather & interior cleaner be a step up if the C&U doesnt work? Although C&U is a great carpet cleaner. I recommend using a damp MF after scrubbing with the brush to get the stain "lifted", should work.
  7. I think this is allowed, but if you're looking for a bigger bottle to store the Adam's juices in, and want it to be tough and sturdy, try out these Zep Commercial rated spray bottles from The Depot, for $3.78 they are hard to beat and the sprayer is pretty damn durable. Yes, they are MADE IN USA, don't worry I checked. I thought I'd show these as an alternative to the 36oz bottles being discontinued, since some really said they enjoyed them. You could take a hair dryer and carefully remove your labels and transfer them over too if you wanted. I keep one filled with Simple Green in the shed for my equipment cleaning, and as I was telling Nick, I am mxing up some industrial home brew degreaser in another bottle so I can get the baked on gunk off my Scag from 10 years of use. APC got the stuff off the paint but I'm talking under the deck, I want that thing spotless, and although APC helped, I need MOAR POWER, lol. Hope this helps some.
  8. Rinseless diluted 1:16 (Quick Detailer ratio) with proper distilled water in my opinion cleans better, and leaves the surface more slick, with better gloss, and wipes down cleaner than the original Waterless Wash. It really is an amazing product, really 3-4 products in one (Rinseless Wash) that is. I've been raving about it on the forums since it came out and I got my first bottle. I just ordered a second bottle of rinseless, and just mixed up 64 oz of my "home brew Waterless" last night with what was left of my first Rinseless bottle, I just keep my old Waterless Wash gallon jug and keep refilling it. Smells amazing too!
  9. If it was Quick Sealant you wouldn't even have frozen beads because they just run off the car LOL
  10. Great showcase. Between the house and the 3 in the garage, we have 20 Andersen double hungs, 9 of them are the old style with the grilles on the outside of the pane in the house (you have to snap them out to clean the window fully and pop back in when done), and our 11 new windows are the 8600 double hungs which have the grilles INSIDE the glass, best invention ever. I fully plan on using up my big box store aerosol glass cleaner, and in the spring, using the clay bar on the outside of all windows to get years of crap off them, then the glass cleaner and sealant for optimum protection, I can't wait until a big rainstorm in the spring and seeing the water beads run off the glass! If you get any streaks from using Glass Sealant (or the "other glass sealant" that isnt as good) I've found a second wipe down with a spritz of Adam's Glass Cleaner does the trick and getting rid of the streaks, yet is gentle enough to not remove the sealant.
  11. I have small screws/hooks on the wall of my garage next to the "detailing shelf, going to be adding a couple more perhaps, with the woolies I will probably drill a small hole and put a zip tie on each so I can hand them from a hook. Right now I have the fender brush, tire brush, and lug nut brush hanging up, I'll make a spot for the woolies, and the future Boulder blonde brush when I get one of those. Boulder Blonde brush should be good with the 20" handle for agitating the engine bay when cleaning as well as doing the wheels. Like I posted earlier this week I usually just use a soapy bucket of car shampoo to do wheels and tires first on a regular basis, and only do a Deep Cleaning about twice a year with DWC. So for my whele/tire regimen a dedicated bucket is useful, I don't have to walk back and forth to the garage to get a different tool, and I don't have to put anything on the ground (unless its a brush then i put it bristle side up).
  12. Clean them just like you would clean your dash. Total interior wipe down, or interior cleaner first if you got some major grime. Toyota is actually using the V-tex in lieu of leather because it's more durable and looks better after miles and miles of use, whereas the leather will crease and show "butt wrinkles" etc no matter how often you condition it. At 50-60k (lease trade in time) Toyota wants to be able to flip the cars and have the interior still look attractive to the 2nd buyer. Look out for Vtex on Lexus models soon too, per one of my best friends who is lead master tech at a local Lexus dealership.
  13. Adams has Clear Polish on limited sale in the clearance section of their website if you want to try it, its made for polishing out clear bra's so i think it would work.
  14. Good call Nick, if I do end up with just 2 buckets I'll make sure to mark Rinse / Wheels on it so I keep the same bucket for that task
  15. Thanks man I'm looking forward to getting them and saving the skin on the back of my hand lol! I'll check my shelf space, if I can fit a 3rd bucket up on top in the garage I'll put a grit guard in it and use it as dedicated to wheels tires, plus would be a good way to store the woolies, lug nut brush, etc in there!
  16. Well I already own the Super Block applicator (love it), and still have a half bottle of SVRT left (a little really does go a long way, I've had the bottle over a year now), but since my recent thread about deep wheel cleaning (which I really only do 2-3 times a year at most), I figured what could make wheel cleaning more enjoyable and save the skin on my hands when doing the inner barrels? Well, Wheel Woolies of course! I absolutely LOVE the fact that Adam's made the large and medium woolie the same 18" handle length, and I looked up the old thread with the side by side comparison, good thing I looked! I almost bought the "stock" woolies from another vendor, but leave it to Adam's to keep the price point same for the 3 pack, and make some nice improvements to them as well! Looking forward to adding them to my wheel/tire arsenal and making the job easier. (Currently have the 20" Fender/tire brush and Deep Tire Scrub brush) Even though I only use DWC 2-3 times a year (with a coat of sealant afterwards) at most, should be a lot of fun even with a bucket of suds to clean the wheels up! Also threw in my second bottle of Rinseless wash (I mixed up a gallon of Waterless with the first bottle I bought), and a Hex-Grip applicator for the tires, always wanted one and looking forward to using it on my 20" wheels on the X5 and my wife's 17" wheels (soon to be 18"). That should hopefully get me through till spring, but by the time it warms up in Jersey I'm sure I'll be needing a fresh gallon of V2 detail spray! Silly question by the way, do you use a dedicated wheel/tire bucket (a true 3 bucket method) which doesn't ever get used as a wash/rinse bucket, or you just rinse out and refill with fresh? I have an extra 5 gallon bucket in the basement, was thinking about a 3rd grit guard and using it as a dedicated wheel/tire bucket, or am I just being redundant with that?
  17. Great idea Adam, should call these the "APT" a great compliment to "APC"
  18. Thanks Eric i sent you PM, and Norton you'll have some spray heads coming your way this weekend.
  19. Resist it Nick! I can't even let my wife do the laundry in the house (she never folds my jeans or t-shirts correct if she does, took her 2 years to figure out the concept of his and hers sides on the basket for easier putting away of clothes, and she doesnt fluff the clean clothes up in the dryer before folding them and putting them in the basket, can you say WRINKLES) So you can only imagine, it will be a cold day in hell before I give her free reign to do the MF towels.
  20. I'd say about 2 coats of Quick Sealant with Detail Spray V2's wax boosting abilities will keep your vehicle protected and shiny for 6 months or more, maybe even a year if you don't get salt. That's as close to a coating as you're going to get, and its DAMN good, considering 10 years ago I was waxing my car every 2 months, before high quality, long term durable sealants really hit the mainstream consumer. Adam hit it right on the head, I'd be bored as hell if I couldn't clay twice a year, polish and wax regularly.
  21. Yep, when something is out of stock with Phil @ DD you can add your email to the waiting list on the button on the product page, then when it comes back in stock he sends you a coupon code for your order for being patient
  22. "Made in the USA of domestic and foreign components" is prob what Gilmour is.
  23. Awesome man! Put a piece of tape on that jug with a sticky that says "DONT TOSS ME" haha
  24. Adam I mixed up about a half gallon worth of diluted Rinseless 1:16 with distilled water, what kind of feedback/testing do you need? Its cold this week in Jersey and my cars are filthy so I wouldn't try a complete Waterless Wash as its too dirty, but I use the diluted Rinselss as a pre-soak when doing Rinseless washing, as well as I also spritz the panel afterwards when drying (similar to Detail Spray as drying agent, I've used the original Waterless as a drying agent before and it worked great). I've also used original waterless and it worked great as a clay lubricant. I have used Waterless (original) for its intended Waterless wash purpose on my motorcycle before, it seemed to work fine, although most of the time after I get back from a ride for the day I usually just give it a wipe down with Detail Spray. If I run into a decent amount of bugs/dust on the road I'll wipe down with Waterless first, then Detail Spray for gloss. Let me know what I can do to help I know you guys are trying to keep the inventory lean and not have redundancies with products in the new year, as well as keep on innovating. The Rinseless product really is such a clearly versatile product (in my opinion 4 products in one) so I'm happy to help and support it. -Jay
