  1. They gallon refills are kept in an enclosed cabinet as are the small spray bottles. I have only had this issue in the past month and at this time of year the humidity in this area is not anything like the summer. Both the DS and the WW have the same color and smell as when they were new. As for the towels, I have always washed and dried them the same way. A mild laundry detergent, no bleach or fabric softener.
  2. Could it be the age of the product? I did not realize that it has been so long since I placed an order, but I did get both the waterless wash and detail spray almost 2 years ago. I continued to use up what I had left befor going into the new batch, but again as you know my car does not see a lot of driving so there for the cleaning is not a daily or even a weekly event sometimes.
  3. I have been having an issue of streaking lately with both the waterless wash and the detail spray. In all my years of using Adams it has never happened. I am not applying either in direct sunlight or on a hot surface. The car is alway garaged and only done in the garage. Yesterday I used the Waterless Wash and had to use to of the blue waterless wash towels. one to remove the spray and the second to buff the streaks. I need to do the same think with the detail spray. Any ideas?
  4. I realize I am behind the times as I still use the old PC buffer, but can I use the 7" pads on it or are they fopr the Flex?
  5. Not sure I want a tire shine, I like the looks I get with the Super VRT, but I will keep an open mind and see how it works on others. Will the Red, White and Blue Bags be available also?
  6. Great looking and just Adams will make the finish really pop.
  7. No at least not at this tome. You don't have to change the hood, only the front fenders and nose, plus all the inner fender parts. The front is more work then the rear, plus I like the narrow front with the wide rear.
  8. Yes it is a base Corvette with the 3LT package and Z51 handling option. The rear quarters are Z06/Grand Sport rear quarters. It is commonly referred to as the wide body kit.
  9. Adams does it again. Well the show was great and thanks to Adams Detail products I took best in the Modifies class. Thank you Adam.
  10. Did my spring clean up so she was ready for this weekends show. I just got teh new Paint Correction and Paint Finishing Polish, but I went with the Finishing Polish only as I only had a few small swirls and fine scratches on the reah hatch area. So wash, (did not need clay), Polish , followed by a coat of Brillent Glaze, and topped of with Americana. In and out in the engine bay along with Brillent Glaze and Americana on the chrome and painted pieces.
  11. I have a question on the Paint Finishing Polish. Can I do the entire car of do I need to do a section at a time. With the old machine polish I would do the entire car before I would remove it. I did the area that had the small swirls and fine scratches and it clear them up, but now I am ready to do the rest of the car.
  12. I have not been on in a while as my car does not get a lot of abuse so it only need a good detailing a couple of time a year. So my question is, I placed an order a mon th or so ago and in it was the Paint Correction Polish and the Paint Finishing Polish. Because the car is not in need of major correction dwould you suggest that I simply go with teh Paint Finishing Polish or do the correction step first. I have some ligh swirls and fine scratches that are only noticable in sunlight at a certain angle. I don't want to be to aggressive on the paint although the clear coat is very hard on the Corvette.
  13. I have always done the entire car with the different Adams products (except the Americana) and never had any problems. A little trick I learned from Adam a long time ago, was to use the buffer and a micro fiber towel to remove the polish or glaze. Lay the towel on the surface and then place the buffer pad on the towel. Wrap the excess towel around the handle and any other place on the buffer so only the lowel swction with the buffer pad is touching the car. Turn on the buffer and let it do the work. Of course you need to keep placing the buffer on a clean section of the towel. It sure beats doing it by hand.
  14. Oh your are so correct, I grew up in Chicago. Of course that is why I am in Florida now.
  15. Thanks Nick. Not worried that they will be frosty when I get them as I am in Florida, but was wondering will in transit. Glad to hear I have nothing to worry about.
  16. OK, I read the two Pinned posts on shell life and temperature, but what about the shipments that leave your warehouse and have to travel across the country in below freezing temperatures. Will this have an effect on the products. I place an order earlier this week for a three different products in gallon refills (Shampoo. Waterless Wash & Detail Spray) as well as a few bottles of glass cleaner, 3 cans of on In&Out and the two paint correction. Will the freezing weather that the shipment will go through be a concern?
  17. Well I place an order to resupply my stock today some gallon refills and a few incidental items as well as the combo Paint Correction and Finishing Polish. I decided I would see how it goes with my PC and then make the decision weather I go with the Flex or stick with the PC. Thanks for all the replies.
  18. OK, I read the sticky on the comparison of the PC and the Flex and it seems that the PC that I have is all I need, but I would like to get the opinions of those that have used both and may be in the same position as I. First let me fill you in on my car. It is a 2007 Monterey Red Metallic Corvette coupe. It is not a daily driver. In fact it may not come out of the garage for a few weeks as I am retired. I am planning to order the new two step paint correction and finishing polish. I do have some minor swirls that need to be corrected as the car show season with be picking up this month and really get going next month and I want it ready for the first show. I have a PC and have been happy with it, but I have read a lot of people are switching over to the Flex. I know that the PC will work fine with the new two step products. So in my position what would you do. Save the money and stick with the PC or bite the bullet and buy the Flex?
  19. Actually it was just a post on the forum. I had the Lexan top on my C5, but my C6 has the painted top.
  20. I posted last week about being away for some time and noticed that the Fine Machine Polish is no longer and we now have the new two step process with the Paint Correction and the Paint Finish. My dumb question is I assume that the Porta Cable will work with these new products. I have had mine from over 6 years now and I only use it once or twice a year as my car is not a daily driver. In fact it has been in the garage covered for three weeks now. Next question and I really should direct me asking sales, but on the web site if I look at Machine Polishers and Kits it show the kit with the correction and finish polish, the foam pads and micro fiber pads and the cleaning tool as available, but on the Polishes, Pads & Applicators it shows it out of stock.
  21. I think that I may make the change only because my Fine Machine Polish is over 2 years old and it may have lost some of it properties.
  22. I started using Adams products when al he had was Swirl and Haze Remover, Revive Polish, Buttery Wax, Detail Spray and All Purpose Cleaner and a few different microfiber towels. His products have all that I have used on my cars since then.
  23. OK, I admitted it, I have been away to long form the forum. I noticed that when I went over to Shop Online, that I see there are 2 new polishes available for machine polishing. I don't see the Super Machine Polish listed. I see Paint Correction Polish and Paint Finish Polish. I have not watched the videos, but will here shortly. So I will assume that this is the new product and the Super polish is out. I guess I really need to go through my supplies and see what I need to do away with and what I need to order. Because my Corvette spends a lot of time in the garage covered it really does not need constant attention and I only do a full detail once and sometimes twice a year. In fact I only apply a coat of wax at those details. the rest of the time is detail wash or waterless wash, detail spray and brilliant glaze..
  24. I was over on the Corvette Forum and the question came up on clay barring the clear top on Corvette's. They are not glass, but an acrylic and have a tin protective coating on them Some say yes and some say no. I had one on my C5 but never clayed it. What say you professionals.
  25. Unless you can find someone in your area that has a buffer (orbital of course) I would clay the car, then hit it with Revive, followed by Brilliant Glaze and finish it with the Buttery Wax. I would suggest that once you have your new C7, you need to invest in a complete line of Adams products to keep the C7 in show room condition. Also look at all the videos which will help a lot on keeping it in that condition.
