  1. I do us an electric leaf blower, but I have had to dry the car when I have been at shows and it rained. I have always used the large white waffle waive towels with great success and not issues. If it is dragging how long has it been since you waxed the car. if you have no wax protection it may be the cause. If it is waxed, try and mist the area you are going to dry with Adams Detail spray. It not only helps in the drying, but it will add that additional shine. Just go around the car and as I said spray a mist on the detail spray and dry that area.
  2. I will do a review as soon as I get my order comes in I just placed. I order a couple 32 oz bottles for myself plus some for my son. I converted him to Adams when he bough his Chevy Silverado.
  3. I was just getting ready to place an order and one item I need is the standard shampoo. I noticed the new Wash & Wax product and read about the use. My question is, it says for best results spray a mist of Detail Spray on the wet car. I have no problem, but what I have always done in to pull the car into my garage, then blow the excess water off and then spray the detail spray and do a finish dry and buff. So with this I should not blow the excess water off first? Also is this a replacement for the standard shampoo and can it be used as a regular car shampoo? Can H2O Guard and Gloss be used with this or should it be used only with the original shampoo?
  4. I cannot find the video on using the rinseless wash, but I remember that they used the double soft towels to first apply the product, then one to dry the area. Why can I not simply use the standard waffle drying towel? Is the video still available? I plan to do this tomorrow and I have not done it in some time so I just wanted to refresh myself.
  5. I just read an article about wet sanding and it was a pretty well written article until the end and that is what caused this question. I have always been taught that after wet sanding the next step is to polish. If the wet sanding was aggressive I would go with the paint correction polish and then the finish polish. . After I complete this I would either seal the paint or apply wax or both. This article finished by saying once the wet sanding is complete use a high quality Carnuba based wax to restore that original luster. Seems like this is incorrect.
  6. I applied the Guard & Gloss to my car as soon as I received it. That was about three months ago. Car is not a daily driver and is garage kept, but I had a show to attend this past weekend and I applied a coat of Brilliant Glaze and then a coat of Americana. I washed it today as it did get dirty at the show because of teh wind and the pollen plus it was about a 2.5 hour round trip to and from the show. I will most likely give ia another bath early next week and was wondering if I can apply it this close to the application of the Americana?
  7. Thanks Ricky Bobby, now it makes sense. I was thinking that you were saying use 10 towels and the two buckets. which seem a little on the over kill side. The 10 towels does seem like a safer procedure. Again thanks for the explanation.
  8. I ended up doing the complete wash with the two buckets and hose. Warmed up enough yesterday to do it. I guess my problem is I must not understand the difference in the Waterless Wash and the Rinseless Wash. I have been using the Waterless every since it was first introduced as my car is not a daily driver so it never gets real dirty. I thought the idea of the Rinseless was for either when the weather was to cold to do it outside and also it was for those cars that were just beyond the Waterless Wash. I also though that if the Master said two Double soft micro fibers to wash with that would be all that would be needed when using the two buckets with a grit guard in each. After all I use the wash pad and the 2 buckets for the normal wash Why 6-10 towels with the Rinseless and 1 wash pad for a full wash and only the 1-2 with the Waterless? What am I missing?
  9. That sounds lot more work then just getting the hose out and doing a regular wash. In Adams video he says 2 towels and 3-4 oz of the RW. Both buckets will have the grit guards. I
  10. I just received my Rinseless Wash and I was going to use it, but not sure when it can and cannot be used based on amount of dirt on the car. Although mine does not look dirty from 5 feet once you get close you can see teh dirt/sand on it. It has been very windy for a=over a week now and even though it is kept in the garage it has a good amount of sand/dirt/dust on it and it does not blow off with my compressor. Is the Rinseless OK for this or should I wait for some warmer weather to wash it.
  11. I have used the H2O G&G twice now and love the results, but the only problem I have is getting all the water out of the places that hold it, such as the mirrors, side marker lights, rear tail lights and so on. I normally wash my car and then pull it into my garage so it is out of the sun and use my blower to get 99% of the water of of the surface and of course those spots I mentioned. I then used a waffle towel and a little detail spray to remove the remainder of the water. Here is my question, I have done it using the wet method, but on the dry method, I assume that is on a clean car, not a mildly dirty one. My Corvette is not a daily driver so it does not get a bath every week, but maybe 2-3 weeks. So If the car is just dusty should it still be washed prior to doing the dry method? My other option would be to wash the car dry it as I have normally done and then go back and do the dry method even though there maybe a little water still on the surface.
  12. I always wipe the wet detail spray off the area I just clayed. I normally don't do the re-wash and ISO wipe down. After the clay I go to the paint correction polish, the the finishing polish, them the sealant, glaze and a good coat of Americana.
  13. I wash the car today for the first time since I got my shipment in last week and I tried the G&G. I will say at first I though that it may not be what I was hoping for. I am so use to washing the car first thing in the morning before the sun gets into my driveway and then pulling it into the garage to dry it off out of the sun. I have always used the blower to get the majority of the water off the surface and out of all the areas that hold water. So today when I pulled it into the garage I had a bucket of fresh water to soak my double soft towel in as Dylan shows. As it turned out I don't think this method took any longer and maybe even a little less time to dry the car completely and then use the air compressor to blow the water out of those areas that hold it. I must say I am impressed with the G&G and the surface is so slick I actually had trouble putting my car cover on. I do have one question. Should the double soft towel be rinsed after a few panels or just wing it out after each area? It was rinsing it after each panel, but not sure if I should or not. My only issue I have with it, is when it runs down the sides and drips on teh floor, that area becomes a little slippery. A few after shots:
  14. Thanks everyone that is the plate I have .
  15. OK, I already have the 5" Yellow backing plate, so I just need to order teh pads.
  16. I am about to place an order for some more products and also the new Gen5 pads. I have the Porta Cable 7424 (not the XP) and is the Premium 6" Machine Polisher Backing Plate needed for the new pads or will my original backing plate work?
  17. Thanks Chris, would have see a difference in the new padfs over the old as far as results go?
  18. I have a Porta Cable and I have the dimpled type pads. I guess those are the Gen 2 pads. I am getting ready to do a complete detail on my car which is of course wash, clay, paint correction, polish, (paint sealant maybe) glaze and wax. What my question is should I change to the gen3 pads or are the older pads the same as far as the color goes. Orange for the paint correction and the with for paint finishing?
  19. I just received my order and in it I ordered teh tree pack of pump applicators, becaue I noticed that the Brilliant Glaze shows it on the bottle. Oh well it was just $1.99.
  20. OK, I just received an order and in it was the H2O Guard & Gloss. I have not use the Paint Sealant because my car is not a daily driver. It does however go out a few times a week. So should I use the Paint Sealant (which means placing another order) before I use teh H2O Guard &Gloss, or can I go ahead and use it now. Also would you recommend that I use the Paint Sealant even though it is not a daily driver.
  21. I just received my lastest Adams order and one of teh items I ordered was the Adam's Americana Shine Kit. It came of course with teh Americana wax (my favorite) the Brilliant Glaze a double soft towel and two dark gray micro fiber applicators. My question is, what exactly are the two applicators for? The Americana has its own applicator. Is it for the Brilliant Glaze, because I always apply it with either a red hex grip applicator or the red pad on my Port Cable. Thanks
  22. Thanks for the replies. I guess i will add a few to my order seeing I am ordering the H2O Guard & Gloss.
  23. I don't drive my Corvette a lot and with gallon refills I don't have to order as offten as I use to, so I am getting ready to place an order for a few of the newer products. I was looking at adding a few more micro fiber towels to my collection and noticed the boarderless Gray towels and was wondering it says "Super plush and edgeless this new microfiber towel is guaranteed to become one of your favorite detailing towels." Is this towel better then the super soft and if not, what is is best suited for?
  24. I am using the All Free & Clear and I am having the streaking with both the detail spray as well as the Waterless Wash and I use the blue waffle weave with the waterless and either the double soft white towels or the older plush blue MF towels.
