I ended up cleaning a camper this past weekend. Washed it very thoroughly, the owner wanted wax on it to protect it. I suggested sealant for longevity and they agreed to that. Anyhow, I went to apply the sealant with my rupes on setting 1, tested a little area and it seemed to have left buffer trails. I thought that was odd so I grabbed the detail spray and removed the sealant and the trails all but disappeared. You can still the buffer trails easily when the sun light hits that spot. I didn't apply anymore so I thought I'd move onto to applying buttery wax by hand. Again it did the same thing, you could see the trails even after hand applying the wax. Does anyone have any idea what I could be possibly be doing wrong? I'm just not getting it, doesn't make any sense why it would be leaving a trail. Anyone have any idea what would be causing this?
