  1. Went to a Show & Shine and saw some really cool cars. This one was my favorite. 1931.
  2. At the Show & Shine for our school district.
  3. Never have I ever read such an excellent write-up on the interior detailing. Good job! How many times can you wash one of the swabs before it wears out?
  4. I have always washed the tires but it seems that with the Tire Shine they don't collect dirt as much as with the SVRT. The last few washes I just gave them a quick brush with GWC and they looked great. Also, not having to use APC keeps from stripping the sealant off the wheels.
  5. Very nice and your neighbor got a heck of a deal! A hundy for that level of improvement is a bargain.
  6. Leather Conditioner is one of my favorite products. I put some on a MF towel and wipe the seats down about once a month. Smells so good!
  7. I read in this thread that gallons of DWC are supposed to be back in stock next week. Not sure about the pumps. http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/26788-deep-wheel-gallons/?do=findComment&comment=426010 I would prefer that these out-of-stock items still be shown on the website, as is sometimes the case. It is confusing when something just disappears and we don't know it is discontinued or just out-of-stock. I had the Travel Bag in my cart waiting for the sale to start and it disappeared from the website.
  8. Excellent write-up and very nice results Jerome. Why do you use a MF towel for cleaning the wheels rather than a dedicated wheel brush? I have always used a brush but I may just try a towel next time. Your results shows that it does work well.
  9. 15% off, free shipping over $95, through Monday midnight MST. http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/27057-adams-labor-day-sale-2014/
  10. Today I finished a project which is a handle that connects two bucket caddies together. This allows me to move them around more easily. This two-bucket setup is dedicated to wheels and tires. The handle is from a old garden tool, I bolted on two steel straps, painted it black, and then bolted it to the bucket caddies. I also drilled small holes around the inside of the caddies to let water drain out.
  11. I just saw that Tire Shine gallons are now available.
  12. The first few times I took my new truck to the dealer I made sure to give it a full detail the night before so they would have no reason to "wash" it. Luckily, they have since stopped washing customer cars and instead hand out coupons for a free wash at the nearby automatic car wash. Um, no thanks. At least now I don't have to worry about some kid putting this filthy mitts on my truck. Another story, I had some warranty work done at a local body shop (touching up some frame rust) and when they called to say it was done, he mentioned that it was being washed! I said "No need to wash it" and he said they were just drying it, which caused a minor panic attack, resulting in me jumping up from my desk and leaving work early, fretting the whole way there about having to polish and wax the truck. When I got to the shop, I saw the guy detailing another car out in another building behind the shop, and I rushed over to quiz him about what soap he was using, what he used to dry, and watching his technique. Luckily the guy knew a few things and seemed to be doing OK. He told me a few stories of how most people neglect taking care of their cars and even washing them with DISH SOAP. After catching my breath, I asked him if he had ever used Adam's products and he said no but he had heard they were really good. After a full inspection at home, no harm was done.

Pretty cool! Sweet car and an impressive mod list. I saw a similar 2014 in my dealer's showroom this spring but it had blacked-out wheels. Unfortunately, they would not let me sit it in because it was headed to the auto show.
  14. The Cyclo is a great tool, very easy to use.
  15. Not long after getting my Cyclo, I saw these brushes and bought all four sets (white, aqua, white and gray) because I thought they would be useful and also because my other hobby is collecting tools and equipment. So I used the brushes on the tires and they worked OK. I then used them on the tile floor in the basement with some APC and they worked amazing. Even cleaned up some overspray from when I varnished the doorframes, which I had scrubbed by hand with no results. Now that all was good until I was finished and noticed the Cyclo was filthy, covered with dirt, grit, and APC. I then figured this was not a very good thing as this dirt and grit stuck in the nooks and crannies, along with being inside the fan on the motor, could very well end up flying out when polishing and waxing and cause paint damage. So for the next hour I detailed the Cyclo, with Q-tips, APC and compressed air. I ended up getting a second Cyclo to only use with the brushes. Some may say this is overkill, but I think better safe than sorry. Did I mention I like to collect tools?
  16. Phenomenal improvement! The title to this thread should be "BLACK MAGIC". I am going to start calling Nick the Paint Whisperer.
  17. Are you using a mobile web browser or an app? I have no issues with my Galaxy S5 and Chrome. I do have to switch to the full version to upload pics.
  18. I have since added a wire shelf to use as a drying rack instead of laying the applicators out on towels. The shelf works much better and frees up counter space. The grit guards also work for drying racks if you don't have too many items to dry.
