I finally took today and hit the daily driver with a good detail. Started yesterday with a two bucket wash and then today I clayed the whole car with the new Visco Clay Bar and Detail Spray.  The clay works real well, but I found that when it gets cool, (it was around 55* here)  it stiffens up and is hard to get the impressions on it, so from time to time I had to take it inside and warm it up. That's my only issue with the new clay. I'm happy with how it works and it does a good job getting contaminants off.
Next I broke out my little old PC and the new white pad and started with the finishing polish. Paint didn't need correcting, so this was fine.  Let me tell you. A few passes and that pad was BLACK!  Good thing I have extras!  Took a while to get the car looking good enough for wax, but finally I got there and used the new Americana Wax.
I've been using everything Adam's for around 12 years now including the old Americana, and this new blend is the BEST.  You figure, at 70 years old I'm not as fast as I used to be and some areas sat for a while with the Americana on it till I could get to it.  The old stuff you would have needed a chisel to get off. The new Americana wiped off like butter.  Fantastic job.
I still have the wheels and windows to do, and the wife will tackle the interior, but the outside looks real good and I'm happy with the results. Check out the reflections in the pictures. Pretty good for a white car.

Very cool. I did the Bowling Green tour when they were being built and they were amazing. So see one of those motors sitting next to the base powerplant was very cool. Totally different animal.

If I remember right didn't Mercury Marine build the engines for GM?

Well the results look good but I dont think detail spray has anything in it that a buffer can help with.

My biggest concern personally is I dont like taking a pad to anything of unknown condition.  After 25 years I would want that thing claybarred before a pad touched it.

If anything I think you were scrubbing off surface contamination.

    Hello everyone,

    First detail post here!
Had couple days off and was planning to detail the wheels on my C7! while I was cleaning I thought about going further as these wheels are clear coated and can take whatever I put on my paint easily!
After washing and drying I went to take out my brilliant glaze and Americana and see how will these perform on the wheels!

    there you go..

    In the shade..

Since I still didn't receive the liquid paint sealant, I'll use the 3 combo next time, heck these wheels would definitely look better!

As for suing Adam's, well.. my wheels got like chrome reflections and hurt some eyes lol

I figured I would post some shots here. I cleaned up the WRX today, and I knew you guys would care more than my friends on Facebook lol

The car is a 2008 WRX sedan, the paint is no where near perfect but I do the best I can to maintain what's there. I'm more of the function over form type. Here she is before I started.

I washed, clay bar, revived, applied brilliant glaze, and liquid paint sealed the paint and headlights. We should be ready for winter now. This is just from the drivers door!

All cleaned up, check out the reflection of the house.

    Thanks for viewing.

I would not glaze it, however I would quick seal the heck out of it!  It won't yellow.  As far as how long it lasts, I can't give you an absolute answer, I've used quick sealant on my Shelby and ZO6 engines and it does a great job in helping me wipe off/clean off any dust or dirt, and some oil residue from the external breathers I have off nicely.

I will 'detail' the engine compartment once in a while (every 2-3 months perhaps) and I still find it easy to do so I am sure it will at least last that long.

    Hope this helps!
