Busted out the Adams for a run through yesterday.  Last year was my first, did a paint correction, full shebang.  Stripped and waxed 2 more times after that in 2015.  Running late this year, but got it done yesterday.

Dawn soap strip wash with 2 bucket system and wash pad.

Claybar & wipe down with Detail Spray

Brilliant Glaze with Porter Cable on #2.

Americana Wax with Porter Cable on #2.

No wheels, no interior, no trim, no windows.

About 3 hours with time outs, start to finish.

This is a semi-daily-driver, 6 years old with several years of no garage.  Still has paint correction that's needed, and I have to get a rim/tire kit eventually.  However, 3 hours a couple times a year and it looks way better than I expect every time.

Pics are artistically processed a bit, but you can see the shine.  Mirror like in person.  Not perfect, but good enough for me.

Had the last day of mid 60 degree weather today so after alittle black friday shopping I decided it was time to get out there and winterize my ride!  All in all it took alittle over 4 hours.

Here are the steps I did:

Hit the wheels.  Used APC and Deep Wheel cleaner Sprayed down the engine bay.  Used APC and wheel brushes Strip wash.  Used Car Shampoo with some APC, foam gun too! Clay while wet Normal wash to get the residue off the car Dry with GWDT, blower, and some detail spray Hit the glass with Glass sealant then buffed it off Applied Paint Sealant to the whole car and buffed off Went back to the engine and hit it with some In & out Spray Hit the tires with tire shine ....Profit? Have a few pics of the whole process too!

    Supplies to tackle the job

Here are some shots of the car all dirty!

    After some cleaning!

Hope ya'll enjoy!!!  I was too tired at the end to get more pictures.  Also, all the shots were from my cell phone, so no picking apart picture quality!

Not to bring back the thread from the dead but, you'd asked: What makes the truck a dust magnet?  I've found with mine it's applying detail spray etc with a dry MF towel. I now pretty much just blow dry and the dust attraction is greatly decreased.... I have wondered about using a damp towel to apply detail spray to stop the insane dust magnet status.

ALL DRESSED UP, AND NO PLACE TO GO!

Products for dressing: In & Out Spray, Super VRT, Block Foam Applicator, Edgeless Utility Towel.

Started by spraying everything with the In & Out Spray, being careful to just lightly coat the areas, with no runs.  It works best to use quick sprays while keeping the can moving, rather than long, heavy sprays that cause drips.

Some magic Super VRT on the foam block, then dressed all the areas I could get to, including the rubber hoses.

Followed up with a wipe-down using the towel, to even everything out.

To take care of the overspray on the paint and trim, I used the yummy Pumpkin Spice Detail Spray and a Borderless Gray Towel.

    Finally, the BOOM!

Well my local Jeep club had a trail ride so I took it out to see what upgrades I need. Was my 2nd time riding at this property and had to get strapped twice…  But had a great time.

So yesterday I cleaned out the inside. Didn't get any pictures of that, but trust me when I say my black seats and dash was brown from the layer of dust. I took my SideKick and cockpit brush the make quick work of it and then did a wipe down with Total interior Cleaner.
This morning I hooked up the pressure washer and spent a few hours underneath it getting in all the nooks and crannies. The amount of mud and rocks I got out was overwhelming! But thanks to all my favorite Adam's products I got it back to mall crawler status and ready for the next ride.

Because of time constraints, (the car was going to a local Lotus Club event tomorrow), I wasn't able to get pics outside in the sun, but here are some "after" photos.  There were many stains and light oxidation on the bare aluminum and plenty of swirls on the painted parts.  The owner was very happy even though I couldn't dedicate more time to it.  He will bring it back over the winter months to remove wheels, disassemble things and give it a proper cleaning!

I was kinda surprised that the painted parts were single stage!

The headers and exhaust heat shield cleaned up very nice....

The engine cover came out very nice.

Here is the rear in progress, prior to Metal #1

    And the result.....

My youngest insisted she help me wash the Jeep.  She likes the lug nut brush so she was in charge of the lug nuts and all of the honeycomb areas on the SRT!

She did a great job!  I had to pay her with Cold Stone ice cream.

So I finished off the weekend having a good time...

This morning I started smelling the "wet" smell. I pulled the seats and carpet. Used a few different products. APC, Total Interior Cleaner, Carpet/Upholstery Cleaner, Detail Spray, Trim/Lug Nut Brush and Interior Brush.

Now it's back to smelling clean & by clean I mean detail spray! haha
