Erictski
Time for new blades on my daily driver. I like to replace just before the snow flies here in WI, which has yet to happen. What are some good options especially for cold snowy weather?
0 LFairbanks
I usually buy whatever. Can't say that I have noticed one brand working better than the other. A lot of times if the oem offers it, I will buy just the inserts from the dealer and replace them.
0 stripesace
Bosch Icon. The way hey hug the windshield it's amazing! Kingsford
0 DieselDude
PIAA Super Silicone is what I have been using since 2009. I have heard good things about Bosch too. More than one products that we use today traces its beginnings from Stuttgart, Germany.
0 KSRegalGS
Bosch Icon or Rain-X Latitudes, they both form to the windshield nicely. pirahnah3
0 Dan@Adams
I run Bosch Icons on all of my vehicles. I get about 2 years out of a pair. I try to wait until the local auto parts store has them buy one get one free.
0 Performance Auto Detailing
Bosch Icons are the best I've ever had, I replace twice a year because I see a ton of rain in Coastal NC, but they'll last well over a year Edited December 28, 2015 by lax
0 pirahnah3
I have run both the Bosh and the Rain-X and have liked the both. Strangely I think the Rain-x ones handle the ice and snow chunks better but seem to break a tad bit faster in the winter for me.
0 blcksilv08
Bosch icons is the way to go. I run them along with plenty Adams glass sealant.

0 Kingsford
I always bought cheap ones, usually Rain-X... HOWEVER, my '16 Colorado came with Bosch Icon blades and I love them.

Sounds like the Icon is the way to go. Toyota will sell just the inserts for your wife's car. I know both Toyota and Honda do. It is the route I go with both of these brands and they work well. Cheaper too. I think I paid around $18 for all 3 wiper blade inserts for my DD. If I remember correctly when I had a Tundra it was $5 or less for a side. I could be wrong on that as it has been a few years since I owned the vehicle. Edited December 31, 2015 by LFairbanks
0 stripesace
Not to sound like a pitch man but I find myself using wipers less, and less aggressive when I do by keeping the windshield glass clean and a fairly regular coat of Glass Sealant on there. Hopefully that means my investment in Bosh Icons lasts me longer. Edited December 31, 2015 by stripesace Ricky Bobby
0 Ricky Bobby
^Agreed, 9 times out of 10 when my wife is about to go use the wipers she is driving fast enough to where the rain runs off lol

It is salt spray from the cars in front of me. NG13 and rkj4243
0 rkj4243
+1 with Chris's statement. Rain typically runs off, it is the dirt and grime which makes using wipers a requirement, especially in states which use salt in the winter to clear roads. 0 b_pappy
Sounds like you already went with Bosch, but I like the PIAA Si Tech blades. In sunnt California I get a few years out of them, mostly to hold parking tickets! But when I need them, they work amazing. Bruce

0 Zach5.9CTD
Borch icons here as well. Make sure you pay attention to the blades if they have an A and B option for your size blades. The A and Breakfast signify which side of the vehicle the wiper is made for/will work best on. My truck requires an A and B side. Also if you didn't know the left side of the vehicle is drivers side. Vehicle side is noted from sitting in drivers front seat.
0 Black Bowtie
Issue for me this time of year isn't rain. It is salt spray from the cars in front of me. Totaly agree with this statement and keeping the washer solvent topped off! PlainOleS5
