  3. Yes, the polish will get rid of scratches and make the paint look new, but the wax will give it a lot of shine and some protection.
  4. Welcome to the forum! Very nice car you have.
  5. I would say the polish and pads are more important than the machine. However, the most important part will simply be your technique and experience. An experienced person who knows what hes doing will likely achieve better results with a harbor freight polisher than a rookie with a rupes. I think you already have a decent machine and upgrading will net you no results. Try practicing on a different car. Maybe a buddy who has a beater. What exactly are you struggling with? Im sure everyone here can throw in some tips. Remember to work in small sections. I think 2'x2' is the general rule of thumb, but I always start smaller. Sometimes 1'x1' until I find the method that works for me. Also dont rush it. If its a big vehicle, you can also break it down into multiple days. Also different clears and colors make it more difficult or easier to polish. My car has black paint, and it was pretty easy to see the imperfections, so it was also easy to correct. However, my truck is silver and it was a PITA to correct it.
  6. Congratulations Beemer! You won this months contest, let us know what theme you want for Octobers contest. Thanks to everyone else for your participation!
  7. Welcome to the forum! Very nice jeeps
  8. Last day to vote guys, tomorrow we decide the winner!
  9. Ill have to look into these sprays. My car has leather seats but the truck has cloth seats, and both carpets have been taking a beating. Is it like the same stuff people put on furniture to make it stain resistant or am I thinking of a completely different thing?
  10. Just filled it out. I think my only suggestion is to try and not give the same exact stuff to everyone. It makes the mystery box boring. It would also be pretty cool if you guys sold sample sizes like the 2oz bottles you guys have. I think thatll be more helpful for anyone starting out.
  11. Time to vote for your favorite photo! The theme for this month was "Lights" The voting poll will close on September 30, 2017. Here are the submissions: FrozenWS6 mc2hill Rich ZMAN024 avimore Beemer rkj4243 CheyenneTransAm Red Rambler JHL88 HFX Detailing Texas Moe 8675309Maro crowvet JoeKool
  12. Man i forgot about this lol, ill create it when i get home from work.
  13. In my experience, shipping is always expensive. Thats why I mostly buy when there are sales, or I have a big order.
  14. Welcome to the forum! Is that a c6?
  15. Ive noticed that the daily deal is more like a weekly deal most of the time lol As far as the shipping, it can take a few days to get a shipping notification. Hardly happens, but nonetheless it does.
  16. Try shaking the brilliant glaze up. If after few seconds you can see some oil on top, then its already "bad" or at least it might not perform as its supposed to. I had 2 bottles of brilliant glaze go bad like that. You can also notice when you pour some on the applicator. It seems to soak into the foam much faster when the chemicals dont mix well anymore. If you dont use them often, try going into the garage and shaking them up every month or so to try and keep the chemicals from permanently splitting.
  17. Nothing set in stone, but here is a guideline that might answer your questions. http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/17083-faq-do-the-products-have-a-shelf-life/
  18. It would be nice to have a small little pack of cleaning wipes for quick cleaning on the go, but its going to be much more effective to have a dedicated microfiber and a spray for cleaning. Try getting one of those sample size bottles and fill it with interior detailer, and a small microfiber and just keep that on your car. Also dont be afraid to try other brands for those things that adams doesnt carry. Theres some pretty good stuff out there if you know where to look.
  19. Ive used it on my sofa too, and also on my leather boots. I also used it on my leather motorcycle jacket when I still had one a while back. Really good stuff.
  20. Air tools will probably be easier to use, but i found it was very doable with an 18v drill. More speed was helpful, but it also creates more heat, so be careful while doing that.
  21. Thanks for the review, ill probably add some on my next order.
  22. I agree with rich. I use the carpet and upholstery cleaner on my seat belt, and scrubbed with a horse brush. It doesnt require really strong brushing, I just did a small circle motion quickly until it foams up. Then you can wipe it off and repeat until its all gone.
